Took my dog after having her groomed for a Christmas pic on the 15th of December 2019 with Santa and was told sorry we can't find it and don't have it. What a disappointment. Academy location 80920 Colorado Springs.

At the PetSmart on Wolf Rd in Mokena IL, I asked for 12 small crickets, due to the cold they didn't have any. A fews later I returned and they still didn't have crickets. I asked for 2 guppies instead, the person who turned out to be a manager, asked what I was going to use them for. I explained that I rescued a baby snake in my garage, if I had put it outside it would have died so I was keeping it alive till spring. She then said "oh these poor little guppies", put two guppies in a bag and then before handing them to me said "you know what, I don't know if I can sell them to you". Then refused to sell me the guppies, didn't explain why, didn't give any reasonable explanation just wouldn't sell them to me. I left and later called to complain about this, I called a total of 4 times, was left on hold for more than 15 mins two of the times and the other two I was hung up on when I asked to speak with a manager. Turns out the women picking up the phone was the person I dealt with. Finally I spoke with the pet care manager who explained the policy they have, which is insane. It's ok to buy goldfish which can grow up to 1 foot long and live for decades as feeder fish but it's not ok to buy a guppy for feeding when they live for a 18 months at most? Secondly all anyone has to do is lie and it defeats the entire concept of the policy!

I bought a couple of fishes from there. The 2nd fish I got died in 4 days and the other one I got that was a exchange died in 1 day. They are selling sick fishes. The associates dont know why the fishes water is blue. They have sick fishes in containers. Not going back there.

My husband took our Great Dane for a bath, ear cleaning and nail clipping. When he picked him up he still smelled, we had to clean his ears at home and his nails looked like they weren't touched. I could do a better job and save my $30.99. I wont go back.

I took my dog to bathe and cut the hair at the PetSmart in Farmingdale, NY and specifically asked them not to cut their hair short. When I went to look for it, it was totally bare! Never take your pets there !!! It is really a disaster and the worst experience I have had !!! 😡😡😡

We purchased a hamster for our daughter to be given as a Christmas present. The hamsters were in cages together, 2 or 3 to a cage. We took a grey one home only to have it die a couple days later. When I went back to the store to ask what had happened, if we had done something wrong, I was told that the hamster had gotten wet tail and probably had it when we took it home. The store offered to exchange the hamster for another one. I raised concerns over this, my intention was to buy a hamster, not repeatedly have to come in a swap them out due to illness. The customer service rep told me that, this was the third hamster they had returned that week for the same reason. I noticed that the cage our grey hamster had been taken from, was still there will the other two hamsters. They will still for sale. I asked the rep if that was normal, and she didn’t offer a response. We selected a hamster from another cage, and went home. I purchased ‘Wet Tail’ drops just in case something happened to it again. Three days later, I noticed blood on the hamsters tail. He was still very active, but I contacted the pet store since they have Banfield vet on site. I was told by the Manager Holly, that they would refund my money and treat the hamster, once healthy, sell him back to me. When I took him into the store, he was still very active, eating, and was told he would be fine. I called two days later, he was ‘doing well’. I called a week later and was told he took a turn for the worst and was euthanized. I know its just a hamster, but why would the pet store continue to sell hamsters that are getting sick? If they are too young to sell, then don’t sell them that young. If they are getting sick, and wet tail is so contagious, then separate them! If they seek vet treatment, why wouldn’t antibiotics work if caught in the first 48 hours? Did the vet even try to treat the hamster or did you just euthanize it right away hoping I wouldn’t call or some back? Why do you sell Wet Tail drops, when they don’t do anything! After purchasing them, I read online that they are completely worthless. If the hamster dies, why wouldn’t you call and let the person who is waiting to get the hamster back and tell them? I won’t go back to this store for anything.
