I could report some good reviews about past experiences at PetSmart, but the last several grooming experiences have been pretty horrible, especially the most recent one in Madison, TN, where they allowed a trainee to groom my Shih Tzu. The trainee scraped my dog's tummy and other parts so closely that one area bled, and it took 6 days for it to heal. I had to apply an ointment and hold my dog until I felt the ointment had been effective, then wash it off so she wouldn't lick it. This was an alternative to making her deal with a cone around her head. Additionally, the haircut was horrible - almost no attention to the face (maybe I should be grateful), and tufts sticking out in at least a couple of areas. The trainee was monitored by a grooming manager who, apparently, didn't stay with the trainee the entire time. When I talked later with the grooming manager, I got an apology and excuses. It cost me $95, as I had requested extra services and had included a tip - before I had had a chance to examine my little dog.

I bought algae eater fish and 2 plecostomuses. The next morning one of the plecostomus was covered with Ich white dots. I removed the plecostomus and returned to the store, within 24 hrs my bettas died and the algae eater fish started looking sick. Despite treating the tank with salt, increase temperature and super ick cure, the ich persistent and made my fish sick. I never seen such a contagious ich and resistant to remedies. Never again I will buy fish from PetSmart. The fish I bough died, I got my money back due to their guarantee but the little issue killed all my other fish from ich quick.

We live in Brandon MB and were told that during the training for grooming, the “trainer” was going to cut the dogs nail too short, just to show the workers what happens. Shame on you for that! I will never buy anything from your store

Would give them no stars but can't. I signed up for autoship for my dogs food. It's supposed to come every 3 weeks. I waited for over a month and it never came. I tried calling customer care but their systems were down for multiple days and they could not help me over the phone. I emailed them and all they did in response was to tell me when my last order had shipped.

Bowling Green petsmart. Booked a groom for my sheepadoodle. The first thing Amy did was say he's going to need the short blade. I stated he's not here for a cut just a bath. Flopped one if his ears and says this won't brush out. I stated I brush it out all the time. She then responded well you brush him out and bring him back and we'll groom him. Think not drove over 30 miles for this kind of service. I've spent a lot of money with them in the past. No more.

(1st time I’ve tried to use petsmart groomers) I Made the appt online for my toy poodle to be groomed. I took off work to be able to take him today. BUT 2hrs before the appt, a person calls and says if his hair is long, they can’t do it. My poodle is 10yrs old and this has NEVER happened before. Never has a groomer turned him away. Even when I offered to pay extra I was refused service. The employee said it would take to long. Even when I offered to pay double. I will NEVER use petsmart again for anything. They owe me one day of lost wages.

This is the worst hair cutting place it’s so expensive and my dog came home either cuts from razor

PetSmart used to take care of their animals but has lacked in animal care all over the store, the animals were weak looking and would barely move, they are not being fed enough an do not have their daily care, This store is already on the brink of animal cruelty by profiting off of animals not for their own well being but for more money in their pockets. This store should be shut down, but I know they will go out of business eventually anyway. The Lexington Kentucky store needs employees who care!!
