Woman was checking me out at a Garland Location in Texas. When i came up she didn’t greet me at all, didn’t bag my items, and didn’t say anything after she checked me out. Was being pretty hostile with me for no reason. Didn’t appreciate the complete lack of customer service.

My wanted to take the time to write this review about the Petsmart Trinity (New Port Richey) location. We use the grooming services at this location, or should I say USED to. Today we received what I would say below average customer service of what we normally do from this section. Line to check in/out pets was crazy long (considering no walk ins now so everyone had appt...at the same time??) Check in with staff was no "personable" like we are used to. And it got worse when they called to let us dog was ready all we received was "_____ is ready" and when I said OK the lady just hung up. Did not idenify who was calling or was with Petsmart. Very short/attitude on phone. I suggest they work on their customer service in this department. We will not be returning for any future grooming.

Honestly, I could see why the store would rate high in regards to their items like leashes, collars, and supplies for pets exc. However, when it comes to the pets that they facilitate and sell that's where things start to get a little interesting. For example, I bought a small bug-eyed fish from my local PetSmart. Immediately when I got home, I put it in a nice clean new tank with fresh water and plenty of space to swim around. Although, about an hour of the fish being home I noticed its belly was inflamed and it was floating around on its back. After further research online I learned that it was displaying symptoms of a condition in fish called dropsy. Dropsy is usually very fatal condition for goldfish and most other freshwater aquarium fish. It is caused by a fish being exposed to unclean bacteria filled water and stress from over crowding (aka the conditions it was experiencing within the store.) While this may not be the case in every PetSmart it sure was with mine. I also asked the employees where they get their fish (basic question right) and they couldn't give me a straightforward answer. Now a lot of you may be thinking hmm well that's on her for not doing her research prior to going to the store. Although, I did and the PetSmart I went to ranked fairly high. I had owned numerous goldfish and fresh water fish in the past including bug-eyed so I knew the proper way to care for them and what I was getting myself into. I was not a first time buyer. Unfortunately, PetSmart did not live up to my expectations and I will not be returning there again anytime soon.

I visited my local Petsmart earlier this afternoon. I am a regular customer for years for many of my multiple pets' needs. I see all the efforts and signs made to protect customers in this time of corona virus so I felt it must be safe to go into the store. I wore a mask (not that I like doing that, but know it protects others) The employees at the cash register were wearing masks, but I noticed most of the customers who were allowed to enter were not wearing masks. I was particularly officered by an older mother who was with her 12 year old, he was acting out ( likely attention deficient disorder son) He was hyperactive and grabbing and tossing back into the bins at anything and everything near the checkout counter. She obviously didn't care to reign in his bad behavior. Neither of them had any type of mask on a the time. I would ask that Petsmart management require that customers who want to shop inside wear a mask. There are options such as curbside pickup or online ordering, Please go that one step further to make all your customers safe.

This is the second time we took our Yorkie to be groomed. I don't think it would be that difficult to see when hair on one side is longer than other side of face. Also hair on legs has longer hair they missed in places.I am going to shop around for better groomer.Both times my husband tried to correct the hit & miss places. That should not be the way it works.The groomer cut some off while I complained about the problems.

FYI, they Completed the service that we requested but asked us not to bring him back. Suggested that we bring him to a vet for grooming because he Barked excessively which is an indication of high stress and due to his age, they think he's better off at the vet for Grooming . Good Bye PET SMART.
