Shipping was FAST but my packages were almost OPEN because NOT enough TAPE was used!!!!

I really like that shipments can automatically ship and that the reminders are sent if changes to the order need to be made. It is a little bit more expensive than the pet stores around me, but the connivence is totally worth it since we have two 65lbs plus dogs and a cat. I also like that they donate to a local foster shelter.

I love the concept and the selection. I love not having to go pick up the 40 lb bags of chow. What I am a little disappointed in is the packaging. This months package was completely open and the bag of chow too. :( Usually the tape is busted through but not completely opened.

Overall, I like Petflow even though they have had occasional issues shipping my orders whole rather than in two parts. Their customer service is excellent , and generally they keep me informed as to the status of my shipments. I like the free shipping and I really love the wide variety of higher quality cat foods I can buy from them, especially because I live on the dark side of the moon and refuse to feed my kitties grocery store cat food.

I would have given PetFlow 5 stars if the salesperson had alerted me to the fact that Fromm's Adult Gold dog food would arrive "Freeze Dried." The food was like a solid brick. I received the food on a holiday weekend so I had to wait a few days before I could talk to a salesperson. He told me to cut the top of the bag to see if the air would disperse allowing the food to go back to normal. It did and I was amazed. Apparently, some brands are shipped this way. PetFlow probably should keep a list of brands that are shipped this way so they can alert the buyer. Regardless, the service was terrific.

This is my second order from Petflow and I ordered from here because I found a free shipping code online. The order came to my door the very next day, however, this is the second time the box the food came in was 6 or 8" too big for the two cases of canned food and the one single air bag that was supposed to cushion the damage to the cases had no air in it at all. Second time this happened. Last time I had several dented cans and pictures to prove it. I see only one damaged can on the top row that is crushed at first glance, and I haven't even opened the package yet. There is no excuse for such poor packing of these orders. If they took more care packaging canned dog food, I would give the transaction 5 stars.

first shipment was great; second was sent to my billing address instead of my shipping address; customer service promptly sent a replacement.

Pro: Having my dog food delivered to my house is a fabulous convenience!!!! No more nagging my husband to go and get dog food. Con: The food is EXPENSIVE and prices keep going up. :-(
