My 2 cats require prescription diet food and their vet has recommended Hill's Prescription Diet foods for them. Unfortunately, the Hill's company have had trouble with PetFlow and also with our vets office, as it is trying to change their method of managing their distribution of their foods and they are not shipping it in as previously. I have been buying this food from PetFlow at a much reduced cost than from our vet, who is now able to carry it. I am disappointed that I am not able to get it on a regular basis from them, as it is what my cats need. You cannot buy it off the shelf from other offices without a prescription. I had to go to our vet to buy it, but thank heaven, they did have it in stock. On a positive note, Petflow did ship me the special cat treats that I buy with each shipment at no shipping charge, even though the food was unavailable.

PetFlow provided quick easy service. One issue that is important to me is the expiration date on food to determine how long the product has been sitting around. I was disappointed that the bags I received from PetFlow over half it’s shelve life was over with. Freshness, how long a product is stored concerns me.

The convenience of ordering online & having everything delivered is great. The selection of pet products available is also good. The only downside is that it takes 7-9 days to get your shipment. So, if you have time to plan ahead, this is great.

Each order has risen slightly in price. Now $5 a bag more expensive than when I started. Plus my last order was a week late so I had to buy dog food to fill in. Sorry. It seemed like a great idea for someone like myself: older with many dogs, but I can't afford to pay a higher premium and I need food when I need it.

I use Petflow on a continual basis for my dogs food. The prices are competitive and I always receive an email before the food is shipped. The only reason I only gave them three stars is that the shipping is not as efficient as it could be. They use FedEx and it takes a lot longer than it should to receive my items. I'm not sure if on the product side or the shippers, but I need to allow seven days from the time of the email stating it was shipped to the time I receive it. The FedEx tracking system does not work well either. When I order from other places, my order arrives three days later. That is my only complaint. Other than that, I enjoy their service.

2 orders have been shipped with "best by" dates not "best for my best friend". When I spend premium price for premium product, I'm DEFINITELY not expecting PAST due product..my dog can't eat that fast...nor would I want him to. I'm HUGELY dissappointed and may now purchase thru my vet, where I can visually see that what I'm buying is within the "optimal eat for nutritional value" date for my best friend.

I ordered and received approximately 5 cases of cat food. At least 12 of the cans, from various cases, were really crushed, banged up, battered. When I told Petflow they suggested I take photos of the cans. I only have a camera on my cellphone and it just does not take very good pictures, and anyway, I think it would be hard to photograph such damage. When I suggested they use bubble wrap on their deliveries, as other companies do, their response was kind of offhand. I may still try to take photos, but this was a very disappointing response. I wouldn't buy banged-up cans of food for myself, so I'm not happy about giving food from such cans to my cats.
