Gregory, I am sorry to hear that your tube did not have the proper valve parts intact. The tubes are prepackaged, therefore we dont typically open them to inspect and there is rarely this issue. That being said, I was unable to find any indication that were notified of this issue. Had we known, we would have immediately sent you a replacement as we stand by our rproducts 100%.

Thanks for the feedback, and we’re glad your order arrived quickly. What you ran into is usually related to how tires are packaged by suppliers for shipping. To fit more tires in a load, they’re often tightly strapped together, which can temporarily flatten one. That can make it a little tougher to inflate at first, but it doesn’t affect the tire’s safety or performance once it’s properly mounted. That said, we do feel it’s a bit unfair to receive a low rating not because of any issue with our service or products, but simply because you later found a lower price elsewhere. At Pete’s Tire Barns, we’ve never claimed to be the bargain-bin option. What we do promise is exceptional customer service and products that come directly from the manufacturers. That gives our customers the advantage of knowing if there’s ever a problem, we can work directly with the supplier to make it right — something you won’t usually get when shopping strictly on price.

We have spoken with the customer directly and are researching the cause of the delay. While the delivery time was longer than anticipated, unfortunately, shipping delays and lapses in tracking updates are not uncommon across all carriers. We are continuously reviewing our shipping partners to improve speed and reliability, and your feedback helps us in that process.

The order was placed on 4/13 at 6:16 PM and was shipped the next day 4/14 at 2:04 PM (less than 24 hour turnaround) and delivered on 4/21. Service from MA to TX via UPS is generally 4-5 business days so the tube still arrived in that timeframe. Unfortunately, we have no control over the length of time it might take for an item to reach it's destination once it's left our hands.

When orders requiring freight shipments are sent, e-mail confirmations and instructions are sent to our customers advising them to carefully inspect the tires before signing the delivery receipt. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this damage by the customer, however we did reach out to him and determined that the damage was cosmetic only. We issued the customer a shipping credit as well.
