Response from Pete's Tire BarnsMay 17, 2022

We occasionally need to offer substitutions when we are low or out of stock, but we reach out to our customers to get approval. It appears this was not done and therefore, we will refund your order in full. Our apologies for this miscommunication.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your tire. The Rubber Manufacturers Association recommends that unused tires not be put into use if they are over six years old and all tires should be replaced ten years from date of manufacture. Our tires are stored in a climate-controlled Distribution Center and thoroughly inspected before being shipped. As a rule, we notify our customers when the tires they order are older than 4 years. Our experience has been that when properly stored and cared for, most street tires have a useful service life of between six to ten years.
