Very recommended
Amtrak was too expensive so I took a Peter Pan bus from NYC to Western Massachusetts and back (with a transfer in Hartford), and the experience was excellent. I feel like people dismiss traveling by bus but it's much more economical and in my experience the drivers and employees at Peter Pan are so kind and helpful. The buses were also clean, including the bathrooms. I had four buses total (including transfers) and I had zero issues. I also traveled with my dog with no problems, and I appreciated that when we arrived a few minutes late due to some traffic, the connecting bus waited for me. Highly recommended.
