Very helpful but Government shutdown made closing day very stressful!.

I worked with Alex and was very pleased. He was patient and professional. I would absolutely use him and Perl again.

Nothing special in service. One or two double requests for some items. But overall it was OK.

There were several mistakes made by the underwriter early in the process which unnecessarily prolonged and complicated the process. Otherwise satisfied with the service provided by Steve Dykeman and team.

Overall went smooth and team was responsive. Quick turnaround with closing. Only thing was told one amount for closing costs but ultimately came in much higher which altered our objectives a little bit with doing a refinance.

James and Michelle were absolutely great. However, whomever does the underwriting made this one of the most painful, expensive, exhaustive, and prolonged experiences of my life. Regardless of the complications of refinancing after the divorce...the extensive requests for documents, the misinformation for the water tests, and the perceived entitlement to enforce the Marital Settlement Agreement (even with signed exception letters)...I felt that PERL overstepped and mismanaged our time and its procedures. James reached out often, and Michelle K. was easy to reach and a pleasure to work with. You have to understand, I was under a lot of pressure from attorneys on both sides, the courts, as well as my ex. I was also 90 days over the court order to refinance or sell the house. The added requests for documents, while i was deployed, and the last-minute change and requests for the well tests only added more delays. All of this...and now the costs and my new mortgage are considerably higher than expected. I would be happy working with PERL in the future. And in some circumstances, I would recommend them. But I feel that PERL needs to get control of the underwriters. I understand the financial circumstances in this day and age, and the obligations they face, but many times i felt that i was untrusted and was asked to “prove” my worthiness to your company. Honestly I was a little insulted. I know PERL is a good company. That is why I chose them. I just hope my experience with the will be better in the future.
