Just to clarify on the vial tops, as this can be confusing — there are generally two types used in laboratory supply packaging. Some vials have standard crimp tops designed for single access, while others (often marked with a small arrow) are designed for use with compatible laboratory dispensing devices. With the latter, the aluminum seal is not intended to be fully removed. Applying too much force or pressure while attempting to remove it can cause the top to release suddenly — similar to a pressure pop — which may be what you experienced. There isn’t always clear guidance available on this, so it’s a common misunderstanding and something we try to help clarify when possible.
