We purchased over $23,000 in Pella windows with the mini blinds in between the windows. We have been trying to get customer service to respond to us for over 6 months. We have 2 blinds that don't work & 3 others that will probably have issues soon. We finally got a rep to come for $180 to walk through the door. Now we're told that each blind is over $800 plus $200 for installation. Approximately $2,000 for mini blinds that they know the cording wears out for just the 2 windows. We feel this is exorbitant in a fee for 2 items to be replaced. On top of that they aren't answering our emails about the correct blinds to order, because the sizes are different & the quote doesn't list which window is which. The rep measured 4 windows & they aren't labeled.

It took 10 months to install 7 windows. They sent the wrong trim out 4 times. Tried to say that was our fault. Poor coordination internally. Not professional at all. Poor quality of product from factory. Installers not schooled in all aspects of installment. Field Supervisors are not honest. They want you to accept what they want you to give you. They try to say it’s your problem .Not what is required by the Pella window company. The quality of the workmanship is not acceptable caulk joints look like rainbow. That’s the best we can do live with it and pay me. Don’t use this Company in Richmond va. Really Bad choice. Wish I would have found these reviews a year ago. Go with cheaper Windows. Anderson are way too expensive. Pella is just a terrible product. Don’t waste your money on either of theses two products.

Do not recommend Pella. Brand new Impervia windows in our new home have had multiple between-the-glass grilles fall sideways requiring the sash to be replaced, among other quality concerns. It takes several months to resolve each issue so we’ve dealt with this the majority of the first couple years in our new home.

What homeowners don’t think too much about is the importance of window installation. The 15 Pella windows we bought for the back of our Philadelphia townhouse 7 years ago were middle of the road. But the installation made an average product worse. The day of installation, the site manager decided he could not deal with street parking and ghosted us. 3 windows weren’t installed correctly, so they wouldn’t open; the caulk they used was so old so it *never* dried (and we learned they won’t fix this); and one window wasn’t even shimmed properly so we get a draft (again, we learned they won’t fix this). We purchased 6 Anderson windows for the front of the townhouse 10 years ago—the installation was 100% better; they showed up, installed everything correctly; and the windows have held up great.

I really thought I was buying the best of the best windows??? I was wrong. The latches they put on their windows do not grab and pull the window tight. I have requested new latches, and they said they have none. I would not recommend them at all.

Customer service is the absolute worst. Never keep an appt. Took 1 year to get my window (just the glass) after a hail storm. They always make an excuse why they didn't show up...somehow its my fault. Avoid Pella Window

I was hired as a subcontractor for Pella. Purchased a hand brake. Was promised plenty of work and a great partnership. Pella dodged my calls for weeks. I was then given 2 installs, which I received 4.5 and 5 star reviews on. Pella claimed they had no more work for 2 weeks, until I finally received a TEXT not even a call, saying they were cutting ties due to not having sufficient workload or the resources.

When our builder put Pella Windows in our new home in 2020 we thought we were getting great windows. We found out that after the first winter they were not. The first winter one window fully cracked and had to be replaced. Then there were problems getting many of the windows to lock to keep the cold or hot air out. As of 12/2025 they are in fact coming again for the 4th time to see if they can adjust 3 windows to lock. If not , we will have to replace them as we found out too they were nothing but builder grade and will have to pay them hundreds of dollars to reinstall the inferior windows they installed initially.They only give a 2 year warranty. What does that tell you? We already replaced 3 windows with another brand which gives a lifetime warranty. Had them in our other house and never had issues with the warranty. I would never buy Pella windows again.
