I ordered two pairs of shoes and used PayPal to pay for them. I thought using PayPal would protect me from scammers. I was supposed to receive the shoes in 7-20 days. I filed a dispute with PayPal after waiting 6 weeks. PayPal said they would elevate my complaint into a dispute after waiting another couple weeks. I received one pair of shoes 2 months later that don't fit. They never responded to my emails requesting an address to ship them back since they didn't fit. I never did receive the second pair I ordered. Yet, PayPal said they showed them a shipping invoice and refused to refund my money. Don't use PayPal if you are expecting them to protect you from scammers. They are a scam themselves.

Awful service for both buyers and sellers. Annoys me that certain sites have such tight partnerships with them. Frustrating as their service sucks, despite taking so much money in conversions etc.

I have been a strong and supportive PayPal customer for years. Two months ago I purchased a dog gate via PayPal based on a commercial I saw on YouTube called "Magic Gate". In the advertisement, the gate is retractible mesh with grommets that help attach to a wall. The cost was around $50. When the product arrived, it was two pieces of mesh, and that's it. I filed a report through PayPal's Customer Protection page after multiple attempts to communicate with the seller. I respectfully requested a full refund and offered to return the item COD based on their false advertisement and false claims. PayPal responded that they'd settled the case, with the seller agreeing to refund my money if I paid to return the item. Even though this item was shipped from California (where I live), the seller was demanding that I return this item to China. Out of curiosity (and because I could not reach PayPal at all via email, text, call or on their own Payment Protection plan), I went to the post office to inquire how much this package would cost to return ... it was over the cost of the actual item. So, this merchant is a fraud, the item is worthless, merchandise was clearly misrepresented and I am stuck with it in good part because of PayPal's lack of customer service and PayPal's disinterest in protecting clients who purchase items on good faith. I have canceled my account with PayPal; they do not deserve anybody's business or make money on any transaction based on their poor protection and lack of interest in holding fraudulent sellers responsible. Bought 4 items from Shieldstars in April. Never received them and vendor would not respond to inquiry. Opened Pay Pal dispute which was denied by Pay Pal when vendor sent me 1 of the 4 items I ordered. Dispute was re-opened by Pay Pal once I contacted them but was again denied because I could not prove I didn't receive the 3 items. No packing slip was enclosed with the 1 item I received. It's evident from the start Pay Pal has no intention of helping me recover my money or the 3 items I never received. They strung this issue out for almost 3 months and not once was I able to TALK with anyone from Pay Pal. Their process is as broken as the US Congress.

Just sold a $2000 camera on Ebay. The buyer had remorse, so I logged into Paypal to refund him. Paypal is going to keep my approx. 4% ($68) transaction processing fee just because they can. %$@&!*#!

Company is so badly managed - cannot wait for a competitor to take them out. I don't know why businesses still partner with them. I have been having paypal account issues - technical issues, payment issues where they take my money and then don't pay the Payee, etc. I try to get in contact, wait for hours to get somebody and then in middle of issue, I get passed to another chat representative, then in the middle of my chat, they just stop responding for HOURS! I have to keep logging in the vain hope that a customer service agent will finally respond, and maybe 4 hours later, I do get someone who then tells me to do something I already tried, of course when I explain this to them, they are off again...no response. Ridiculous.

PayPal protects scam companies their buyer protection is a Joke! I bought clothes from a scam company NoraCora The items were not as describe. PayPal would only give me a China return address that was 5-6 lines long it would of cost me over $100 to send $155 of junk back. PayPal said they would help pay $30 in shipping charges back after I mailed the package back..sure! The resolution dept is a joke! Just a bunch or robots giving you the same response. Not helping or caring..I called PayPal try to talk to someone..call center closed! Everyone's working from home..theres no reason PayPal can't have real people to talk to! I think it's because they don't really want to deal with all any problems..they just want you to go away! I'm going to close my pay pal account asap this is resolved...Dont Use Pay Pal..use your Visa that has buyer protection..its much better!

They put my money on hold since November 23rd, 2018. and they were asking me to wait for up to 180 days and even give me a date I can take out my money "August 15th, 2019 they said" and until now I can take my money, it's about 400 USD.
