If I could give 0 stars I would!! I purchased a domain using my Paypal account. The domain company would not accept my hosting company's DNS, so I decided to just get a refund. The domain company assured me thru about 10 emails that I would not be charged for the purchase, since I cancelled within 10 minutes. I opened a Paypal dispute just in case, because this domain company is famous for their incompetence. BIG MISTAKE!! The domain company charged me 5 days later anyway!! Eventually I was able to get my money sent back to Paypal, however, the company sent it back into my Paypal account-they did not do it properly by closing my dispute first. I'm not able to close the dispute myself because Paypal has my dispute stuck in "REVIEW" mode-Now I cannot get a live Paypal rep on the phone-I've tried for 3 DAYS!! They're not answering ANYBODY's phone calls!! Their chat function is TRASH-it takes HOURS to get an answer-that is, IF you get one at all!! Their Facebook customer service page is a joke! Once you tell them your issue, they ignore you after that! Because Paypal has not updated my disput, I'm not able to even remove my bank account info from their system, due to Paypal saying I still have a pending transaction!! Unbelievable!! Stay far, far away from this USELESS COMPANY!!

Do not trust paypal. I honestly will never work with paypal again. They do not care about their customers and they will keep letting fraudulent merchants, who are false advertising and send customers incorrect items sell through their services. I no longer trust this service to handle my transactions.

This is clearly a fraudulent company. I've been fighting to get a double charge off my account. but they continually ignore what is really a simple issue. (Working on it over 6 months now.)I finally filed a formal complaint with the CA State Attorney's Office, and they even lied to them! If you have a business, check out Square. (SquareUS) The reviews are excellent.

I agree with many below who felt that PayPal is supportive of dishonest merchants and screws the consumer, if you are persistent enough to even get a response. I bought two items form an online merchant that claimed to be in Compton, CA. But, one item arrived after about 2 weeks and other other took 6+. The second, Merrell Moab 2 hiking boots were counterfeit. The site had genuine photos and called out the specific properties of the boots. The ones that arrived were in a Ziplock bag and were obvious fakes. They are of cheap material, and unusable. I never even put them on. When I contacted the merchant they refused to allow a return and instead offered me a 5% refund telling me to just sell them to someone else. I opened a dispute with PayPal but ended up in an endless cycle of auto-reponders and even the actual customer service reps ignored the documentation i sent (links, photos, etc). The merchant refused ot give me a return address until the day before their time to respond expired despite multiple requests on my part. When they finally did, the address is in China and DHL quoted me $198 to ship the fake boots back. PayPal offers $30 to defray the cost of return shipping, but I have zero faith the company would ever acknowledge my return or refund the purchase. I sent PayPal copies of the emails, alerted Merrell when I ordered a pair of real boots and they told me they were aware of this company, had complained to PayPal but had received the same brush off customers do. This company seems to have ZERO interest in ethical behavior or customer protection. I transferred my balance back to my bank immediately and will never allow funds to sit on the site again. One piece of advice; I used my VISA to fund the purchase. It is underwritten by USAA and they took 2-3 days to review the same information I sent PayPal and reverse the charges. I am out $0 but PayPal allowed this fraudulent merchant to retain the funds.

I will use PayPal if I lose my right arm and have Alzheimer and looking for punishments. Got screwed twice once for counterfeited speaker from China and once for cancellation of a subscription. There is NO PROTECTION whatsoever. Totally not effective. I have CC why I used PP was beyond myself.

Paypal is a joke, they say you get protected when you purchase something and that isn't the case i purchased a Dooney Bourke pocket book and wris-tlet and when i got the stuff it wasn't what it stated was a knock off and i done a resolution and of course i can get a full refund if i send that purse and wrist-let back to China and mind you when i ordered this stuff it was from the united states that advertise it. I had no clue it was coming from China. Does anyone know how much it cost to send to china if 1lb least cost is $ 40 dollars that's the cheapest go figure so they lie this place is a joke. Buyer Beware no protection. Plus you cant speak to anyone also a bad business.
