pawshake.comReviews of pawshake.com

It’s disconcerting/suspicious that every single sitter profile that I have looked at has only 5 star reviews across every category. This can’t be accurate. It seems to imply that sitter has control over which owner feedback goes up on their profile and defeats the whole purpose of a review system.

Great website, very easy to use. We found a great pet sitter for our dog and we can leave him without any stress when we go on holidays, knowing that he’ll be well looked after and safe. We can only recommend this service!

Like others it seems I have been let down, the night before the sitting was due is particularly poor. I went to one other sitter and found she was very inexperienced and just not cut out to manage dogs in her home. They are expensive, but so unreliable. Can't take the risk of trying to use them again.. do they have any idea what disruption it causes when you suddenly can't go to work !!

Unfortunately I was let down by a couple of pet sitters from this site, both in communication and unreliability. I have chosen to delete my account and vow never to book through Pawshake as their values( or lack of) do not meet the standard of care I thought I’d be booking for my pets.

Have paid 6 weeks up front for a sitter to look after our dog in July. Pawshake have charged an international exchange rate fee of $16.80. (AUD to US) WHY? This was booked in Aust, by an Australian owner paid in Australian currency for an Australian Sitter. If it said the money needs to go to an American account with an exchange rate fee, clearly, we wouldn't use it. There is nothing in their terms and conditions about an international exchange rate fee of 3% charging the animal owner/client. There is nothing saying I'd be charged an exchange rate when booking on this site either. They cannot disguise this as a 3rd party processing ptnr fee either. That's illegal and my banks looking into it. They have to clearly state an international exchange fee. Won't use again with this type of practice. There are plenty of others that don't charge a US exchange fee. Had they said it upfront we'd not have used it. They have also lost my sitters profile attaching her picture to another persons name and profile. Sort your site and practices out Pawshake! I'm sure the Australian sitters are good and no reflection of your US poor site service. No excuse! AN INTERNATIONAL CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE FEE IS NOT A TRANSACTION FEE FOR USING A CREDIT CARD OR DIRECT DEBIT. IT IS A FEE FOR CHANGING CURRENCY OVER FROM ONE COUNTRY TO ANOTHER. Nothing saying this Pawshake. A transaction fee you mention is a totally different charge. Some credit cards charge this as does PayPal. Direct debit is the same as cash transfer and no charges should be charged. It's BS Pawshake! You're trying it on.

I worked as a petsitter for a few months and they were great at finding jobs and they have a nice detailed profile. The only con is that they take quite a high part of the money.

Amazing app very easy to use - after a few days having downloaded it I received my first assignment and got paid 2 days after my last day at the owner’s house. Really recommended !! Will continue using it in Italy :)

Very useful and easy to use. I only had very good experiences so far :)
