Don't Trust Everything They Tell You!
I recently adopted a gorgeous golden retriever puppy from Pawrade and he is perfect in every way! While I am in love with my new fur-baby, I cannot say I had a great experience with Pawrade. The liaisons provided to you are wonderful people, however, since they will most likely live in different time zone, they are difficult to get ahold of in a timely manner. There is one person in between you and the breeder so naturally you need to expect for communication to take a little longer but when it comes to travel plans and urgent questions, the communication was definitely lacking! Please don't listen to everything they tell you! I was pretty much guaranteed my puppy would arrive on time and the day of his departure I get a message, not a phone call, that he would be A WEEK LATE. The liaison addressed the issue like he was a pair of socks that was late from Amazon, not a living animal which was so inconsiderate when they know how far you need to plan in advance for the arrival of a new pet. I was then scrambling to get a hold of someone who could tell me why this happened and provide some sort of explanation and I got generic responses, little help and a lot of dodged questions. No one knew why and I paid a lot of money to have him delivered and the fact that there was no refund or phone call was absolutely absurd and awful customer service. Finally we got him on a flight instead of "pampered ground delivery" because I later learned the delivery date is not guaranteed and I did not want to risk getting him any later especially because of the way they handled the situation the first time around. Additionally, Pawrade claims to be "puppy first" but when my puppy arrived, he was covered in dirt, fleas, ticks and god knows what else. While these breeders are vetted, this does not guarantee that your puppy will arrive healthy. While dogs having a few fleas after travel is normal, he had so much that the poop from the fleas was all imbedded in his fur because they were there and repopulating for so long. I spent 3 hours combing flea poop out from him and he was so itchy that he was yelping and crying out. This to me, is not a "puppy first" mentality. Also, after paying a substantial adoption fee the breeder can't get him in better condition upon arrival? A bath would've been nice or sticking to their promise of a "health guarantee" and "head to tail vet check" when he clearly did not or the vet neglected the dogs and was lazy. Finally, upon taking him to the vet she told me that the breeder gave him his vaccines too close together which shows how rushed they are and how little they care about these animals breaks my heart. I had to pay for him to get another one of the shots he already had because it was given too close to another one and was deemed ineffective. Overall, if you're looking for an easy way to get a dog, you've found it! They cut corners and it comes at a cost to the puppies :(

Hi Megan, we are sorry to hear you were left disappointed after we were able to deliver a happy & healthy puppy to you. As mentioned on our pre-delivery call, we recommended giving your puppy a bath immediately upon arrival, the same way you would need a shower after traveling across the country. Our delivery dates are never guaranteed and the fact that we delayed your puppy's travel shows we take a Puppy First Approach and do not treat a puppy like it is a pair of socks! Your puppy's travel date was pushed back to ensure the wellbeing of your new family member. We hope you can appreciate that transporting a puppy involves a lot of logistics and is in no way similar to an Amazon package. Best wishes to you and Pax as you create many wonderful memories!
