We were sent a sick puppy after being delivered in a day and a half was admitted to hospital in critical condition. After thousand of dollars to treat him he died on the fourth day of delivery. Can't believe you do this to people and the poor animals!

We are very sorry to hear that your puppy fell ill. All of our pups receive a head-to-toe exam by a USDA-licensed veterinarian before leaving for their new homes to make sure they are completely healthy. Sadly, on very rare occasions, they can still get sick, just like human babies who receive the best care from their parents. A Health Guarantee claim is currently being processed for you.

Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware, we purchased our second puppy from them because the first experience was a good one, however, our second puppy was not declawed like the first and after the vet check, we found he was not microchipped as promised. Now trying to communicate the issues to Pawrade with no response. When you pay $2850 plus for a dog, you expect to get what you paid for, not here. Also after being given the paperwork, we realize these dogs are cross promoted. We saw our puppy on a Facebook group for $2300 less and thought it was a scam. Same pictures, same description! We reported it to Pawrade and no response. When we get the paperwork, there is the name of the dog found in that Facebook group on the envelope! Something isn’t right about this entire purchase and no one is responding to our calls or concerns or giving us answers. I feel we lost a lot of money through this transaction! Be careful when buying a puppy from them!

We are sorry to hear that Genie is not completely happy with her pup. However it is not true that the customer has tried to communicate with no response. In fact, on September 12, ( 4days before this review) on a recorded line, the customer talked to our customer service representative Carli about her concerns and the customer then exchanged emails with our Health Guarantee manager.
The health guarantee manager confirmed that her pup was never represented as having its dew claws removed. It is also factual that the Husky breed is not one of the breeds where removal is typical. Dewclaws would only be removed on a Husky if there was a specific reason or concern to do so.
The customer never mentioned the lack of a microchip. it is common for them to fail as they are tiny electronic devices and they can also fallout as they are paced just below the skin. Either way we would compensate the customer to have a new chip inserted.
All of our pups are priced at the low end of fair market value. Your pup was listed for $2350 and you received a $350 discount, so the final price to you was $2000. You then chose to use our optional (not required) transportation service for $749 to have the pup delivered to your door. Your numbers would indicate you found the "same " pup for $550. That would certainly be a scam that has nothing to do with us. We go to great lengths to ensure our clients receive the pup they chose, happy and healthy in a completely safe and secure transaction with no worries of scams.

Pawrade HORRIBLE experience- warning
I did send this to pawrade first to give them a chance to respond- I waited over a week and nothing- I want to warn people that they do use puppy mills- see my current experience below-
- I purchased an English Bulldog puppy from your organization in February 2025, drawn to your promise of avoiding puppy mills. Unfortunately, my experience has led me to believe otherwise.
I received Stella on February 14. The first red flag came when the breeder explained a scar on her body as being caused by her mother stepping on her—likely in a cramped kennel. Having owned English Bulldogs for years, I was alarmed by her behavior: she seemed to think the kennel was the only appropriate place to relieve herself. Despite waking every hour to train her, it took months to correct this.
In addition the shot record I received was unorganized and incorrect- it was clear it had not come from a vet- my vet mentioned right then something was wrong- but I loved her so much I brushed it off. Two weeks after arrival, Stella developed cherry eye. While I understand this is common in the breed, her age made it concerning. I paid for the surgery myself. Soon after, we discovered she is deaf. Most recently, she has begun falling, walking abnormally, and experiencing seizures. We are scheduled to return to the vet next week to investigate these neurological symptoms. I’m praying it’s idiopathic epilepsy, but the signs may point to something more serious, like a tumor.
This is an extraordinary amount of suffering for such a young puppy. I will be filing a formal claim, as I believe Stella came from a puppy mill despite your stated policies. I also plan to leave public reviews next week to share my experience, but wanted to give you the courtesy of hearing it directly first
Edit- I seen their reply below- again- not upset by cherry eye- this is my fourth English bulldog- I have two licensed vets who also state she is a puppy mill dog. As for definitive diagnosis- could I get one- yes with an MRI- however, I put my dog first and to sedate her for an MRI- when the course of treatment would not change is ludicrous. That's the difference between me and your company- I don't do the wrong thing for a dog, and put her at more risk- r/t money only-
Again- I'm just trying to warn others- DO NOT use this company if you care about animals-
Response from PawradeOct 14, 2025
We are sorry to hear that your pup has a health concern. As you mentioned "Cherry eye" is a very common and breed specific ailment for English Bulldogs. As clearly disclosed in the Reservation agreement, common breed specific issues are to be expected and not covered under the Health Guarantee.
All of our breeder's are carefully vetted and have all the required inspections and licensing required by the USDA and/or their local regulating agencies. No "puppy mill" would ever meet our strict standards. It is also the industry standard for professional breeders to administer their own vaccines. Some vets don't like this as it takes money from their pockets.
Our Health Guarantee manager has been working with the customer to resolve their second concern. At this time there is not a definitive diagnosis. The Health Guarantee manager also reminded the customer that two concurring diagnosis are required. We are still awaiting additional information from the customer so that we may process a claim for them.

Hookworm positive test
We were notified prior to our puppy being transported that she had hook worm and that they would not release her till they verified she was clear of hook worm. Following her first fecal test at the vet after we received her, she tested positive for hook worm. Pawrade released her to us without validating her hookworm had cleared as they stated.
Response from PawradeAug 25, 2025
Andrew, as with all of our pups, yours received a head-to-toe exam by a USDA-licensed vet. This exam did find that your pup had hookworm, a very common issue with puppies. Because we operate with integrity and transparency, we notified you of the issue and that we would have the pup treated, and once clear, it could travel home. The pup was treated and retested a few days later, showing it was clear. Unfortunately, likely due to the stress of rehoming, it seems the hookworms did flare back up. We are sorry this happened, but it is impossible to predict, and this is also covered under your Health Guarantee. If you have not already, please be sure to submit your vet documents to [email protected] so that we can get you taken care of.

Very Deceitful Company
Please do not be fooled by the contract. If you reserve a puppy, it is non-refundable. My complaint is that the contract should have stated that out right. The language I believe was very deceitful. YOUR RESERVATION IS NON-REFUNDABLE would have been the most obvious understandable language from a 5th grader on up. This language would not have passed the IRB process for instance for consent forms in research. I rarely do ratings, but I can not stand deceitfulness and had to be honest. That language need to change immediately. Otherwise this company would get maybe a 4 or 4.5/5 because I do feel that my representative was trying to make a sale rather than being neutral. However, I like the organization of the website and process of purchase, as well as prompt reply of owners/breeders.
Response from PawradeAug 12, 2025
Shante, we are sorry that you were not completely happy with your interaction with us. But your assessment here is simply not accurate or true. We issue refunds every day. Our cancellation and refund policies are presented to you during the checkout process before purchase and you are required to check boxes that you have read and agree to the terms. Reservations are not simply "NON_REFUNDABLE". That is patently false and misleading on your end. Because a puppy has a very short time that they are most likely to find a home, we do have a schedule based on time that has different cancellation fees. For example lets say you reserve a pup, then 2 weeks later, when the pup is scheduled to come home to you the next day, you simply change your mind. You have now greatly damaged this pup's chances of finding a forever home. Without even addressing the financial loss to our business and the breeder. Lets be fair and reasonable here. This is not an inanimate product you stick back on a shelf, it is a living and breathing animal who's welfare is the most important thing to us. Do you honestly think there should be a full refund? Any consideration for everyone else involved, including the innocent pup?

Puppy died less than 20 hours after I received him.
I bought a puppy from them waited 2 months for him to be 12 weeks old. They shipped him to me by transport driver. He was delivered on Friday about 3pm and the very next morning at 6am he was in a coma despite my giving him fluids and goats milk. I rushed him to the nearest animal hospital where he had a seizure and died. When he left for the trip here he weighed 1pound 6 ounces when they weighed him at the hospital he weighed only .83 pounds. He I believe did not receive any care on the trip. Fighting with them now to get refunded for him and the vet bills. Heartbroken
They are sorry they say and the puppy Sam fell ill no he DIED. Show it and send my money back it has been almost a month and no contact from them. Stop using this transport company because this isn’t the first time a puppy has been sick or died right after they delivered the puppies.
They say they don’t want a fight but here we are. I reversed the charge to my credit card for the dog and they contacted the card company and had the charges reinstated in the amount of$3640.67. And then when you add in the vet bills it comes to $4994.67. So I have a dead puppy and they have my money. So much for processing my claim. Just remember GOD is watching you and someday you will pay a bigger price than me.
Just got an update from Pawrade and PetPay that even if I did try to file a dispute with them they are not even going to consider it. What I haven’t said is that after the puppy Sam died I tried to contact them for two days and no one would pick up the phone so I had no other choice but to cancel the transactions on my credit card. What an absolute nightmare this has been. All I wanted was a healthy puppy to love. What I got was a dead puppy and a scam of a company.
Just now I got notified that they tried to have my review taken down for being defamatory but after Trustpilot reviewed it it was found not defamatory.
Hmmmmm. Karma
Oct 27, 2025 The last update about poor baby Sam my puppy. This terrible company pawrade did fight with my credit card company and received all the money for Sam. I’m 77 and couldn’t figure out how to use their stupid system to file a complaint and I called them for 2 days to try to tell someone anyone that Sam had died and no one ever answered the phone. So I did the only thing left to me I filed a complaint with my credit card company. Just absolutely heartbroken. Poor Sam really suffered with no food or water for 3 days. Disgusting

Patsy, we are sorry to hear that your pup fell ill after delivery. Our Health Guarantee manager has been working with you to process a claim for you that could result in a full refund under our PetPay 3 year Health Guarantee. There is no "fight, but as with any claim like this, we do have policies and protocols that have to be followed to ensure any claim is administered with integrity.

Worthless "health guarantee" - horrible customer service
EDIT: of course pawrade replied as expected with lies.
I purchased a puppy, Lincoln (who my 3-year-old daughter renamed Zero based on the ghost dog from the Nightmare Before Christmas), from Pawrade in November 24. Within 24 hours of arriving at my home, Zero started stumbling around like he was intoxicated and could not see anything. Long story short, I took Zero to see three veterinarians, including a specialist and a surgeon. All of the veterinarians believed that Zero had a congenital liver shunt, or otherwise a neurological disorder. I got Zero a CT scan to confirm the presence of a congenital hepatic liver shunt. It was a severe shunt that required a surgery that at the time I understood only one surgeon in the Bay Area (at UC Davis) could perform. I was informed by that surgeon (the fourth vet I consulted about Zero) that the surgery would cost anywhere from approximately $16K - $18K, after I had already spent over approximately $6K in diagnosis and short-term treatments for Zero (in addition to the approximately $4K in purchase price and delivery fees we paid for Zero). Zero could not have the surgery for several months until he reached his full size, and in the meantime he was suffering and his special care needs were too much for my family to handle. We made the heart-breaking decision to say goodbye to Zero and put him down peacefully in our home. My family was devastated, and my daughter had to confront death for the first time in her life from this experience. She cried for days over this dog who we loved deeply for his short life.
I have never received a single penny of compensation from Pawrade for this situation, despite providing them with three veterinary diagnoses of Zero’s condition supported by a conclusive CT scan. I can understand why this company gets good reviews for the vast majority of purchases reported on this site where the pets are delivered without a serious condition. However, in my experience, when something goes very wrong as it did in my case, Pawrade will use its litany of policies to deny a refund, even where a refund is clearly warranted. In my case, after providing my information to Pawrade, they told me I had to get a second opinion before any treatment could be pursued, even though I had already provided them with several veterinarian diagnoses, including a final diagnoses by a local board certified surgeon reading a CT scan (in other words, overwhelming evidence), confirming that Zero had a serious and life threatening medical condition (2 year life expectancy) that could only be corrected by an expensive surgery well in excess of the amount covered by the so called health guarantee. At that point I stopped communicating with the Pawrade team because I believed they would just keep giving me the runaround, and it would not be worth incurring the additional expenses (which would have exceeded the amount they would reimburse, making it illogical to pursue) and emotional distress of trying to satisfy their excessive demands. Heck, the $500 MetLife pet insurance policy paid out on my claim based on the same information I provided to Pawrade, but Pawrade itself was unwilling to do the right thing. Imagine being stingier than an insurer, and that tells you all you need to know about Pawrade! I am in customer service, and could not imagine ever treating one of my customers the way I was treated by Pawrade under the circumstances. In my situation, they refused to do what was obviously right, and they should be ashamed of their behavior. In my experience, Pawrade’s “health guarantee” is practically worthless, and amounts to misleading advertising.
Please do yourself a favor and purchase your puppy from a reputable local breeder who will take true responsibility for a pet sold with a serious congenital condition. You may think that you will be one of the happy customers where everything works without any issue. But if something goes wrong as it did with me, and Pawrade treats you the way that they treated me, you may wish as I did that you purchased your puppy from a reputable and ethical local breeder, rather than a faceless online broker with a litany of unreasonable / unconscionable policies to deny you a refund, even if you have had some of the best vets in the world determine without question that your new loved one has a serious and life threatening congenital condition. Ultimately, I spent around $11,000 among purchasing, diagnosing, providing short-term treatments for, and euthanizing Zero, and in return my family only received heartache. Please protect yourself from a similar situation, and do not let this company get away with the way they treated me. Please go look at similar negative reviews of this company’s behavior when something goes wrong. You do not want to be in that situation.

We are very sorry that John's pup seems to have developed a Health concern. Unfortunately, his version of events here is not accurate.
We asked John to provide a second concurring Vet opinion as is clearly disclosed in the Health Guarantee the was disclosed to John prior to purchase and he initialed that he read and agreed to the terms. Had John provided the second opinion he would have been covered for any medical intervention costs, up to the full purchase price of the pup. John refused to provide a second opinion and stated he may euthanize the pup. John was advised that should he choose to euthanize the pup a necropsy would be required for us to process his claim and provide coverage as no concurring second opinion had been provided. This was never provided and Jon stopped communicating.
We administer our health guarantee with integrity. We make sure each claim is handled fairly for the customer and the breeder as well. We process dozens of approved claims with reimbursement each month.
The health guarantee is presented to the buyer prior to purchase for their review and they are required to acknowledge they read it and agree before being allowed to proceed with the purchase. Our health guarantee is written very clear, concise and easy to understand. It is also important to understand that the health guarantee covers certain congenital or inherited conditions, it is NOT health insurance. That is why we provide 30 days of Metlife coverage with the no pressure option to extend coverage.
