Buyers beware. This place is misleading and we are surprised at their high reviews. Their pricing is dishonest. Whatever you see, expect to pay more. They charge additional fees (per transaction) which they claim are already included. It ended up being about $400 more than the site said. Also be aware of promo codes. There is no place to enter this throughout the checkout process. Watch this company carefully.

Unfortunately we get a lot of fake reviews done by "Adopt, don't shop" activists. Their goal is to damage our business by posting false, negative reviews. And Trustpilot allows it. We reached out to this poster, who refuses to further identify themselves so that we could address their concern. And we are unable to match this concern with anyone named "Paige" in our customer database. Please check out our page and you can see that for every pup listed all the charges ( except tax) are displayed on the original listing page, and displayed again during the checkout process. There are absolutely ZERO added or hidden fees at Pawrade.

DO NOT USE PAWRADE
BE AWARE
To any family considering purchasing a puppy through Pawrade, PetPay, or the associated breeder network:
I am sharing my experience so that other families do not go through what mine has endured.
In July, I purchased a German Shepherd puppy through Pawrade, financed through PetPay, and bred by one of their partner breeders. I paid $3,800 for what I was assured would be a healthy puppy. Instead, from the day she arrived, it was clear something was wrong. She was lethargic, struggled to eat, and showed ongoing signs of illness that never improved.
Over the next few months, despite vet visits, monitoring, and doing everything in my power to help her, her condition deteriorated. On November 10, we took her to our veterinarian due to vomiting, lethargy, and refusal to eat. X-rays showed concerning abnormalities, and we were advised to seek emergency care.
The next day, at the ER, additional imaging revealed multiple congenital conditions, including:
Severe Megaesophagus
Anisocoria
A likely neurological birth defect
Specialists ran additional testing for Myasthenia Gravis—best-case scenario—only for results to return negative two weeks later. The specialist explained that her esophagus was one of the largest he had ever seen and that this condition was something she was born with.
We purchased a Bailey chair, changed feeding methods, and followed every medical recommendation. But she continued to decline, losing weight rapidly—down to 34 lbs when she had been expected to grow to 70–90 lbs. Her quality of life was no longer humane. On November 21, after months of difficulty and suffering, we made the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep, following veterinary advice.
During this entire ordeal, we repeatedly reached out to Pawrade, PetPay, and the breeder to report our puppy’s health issues, submit documentation, and ask for help. What we received in return was:
No empathy
No meaningful assistance
No acknowledgment of our loss
Repeated dismissals and deflections
An apparent focus on policy loopholes, not the well-being of the animal or the family who purchased her
Despite advertising a “health guarantee,” none of these parties accepted responsibility or attempted to help us navigate this situation in a humane or ethical way. The emotional and financial toll has been devastating. We spent over $3,300 in veterinary bills on top of the purchase price, only to lose our dog after four months of suffering.
My two young children, ages 2 and 4, had to experience the loss of a pet they bonded with. The lack of compassion shown by these companies has added unnecessary pain to an already traumatic situation.
I have been contacted by local news who are interested in sharing our story, and I intend to move forward so that other families can be warned before they experience the same heartbreak.
If this message can prevent even one family from experiencing what we have, then speaking up will have been worth it.

We are very sorry that the pup fell ill. But, the poster is posting about an issue they are not related to, they are not the customer, and her version of events is not fair or accurate. The buyer's vet diagnosed it as "acquired, not congenital". Were it congenital it would have been covered by our Heath Guarantee. This is not a loophole. The health guarantee clearly outlines what is covered and what is not. They buyer elected to have the dog euthanized.
We then provided the buyer with a new puppy that was inspected by a USDA licensed vet and received a clean bill of health. Within days the buyer was claiming issues and had this puppy euthanized. The buyer then refused to provide any documents for weeks. Finally they provided a vet document that showed a possible very minor issue. And the vet clearly wrote on the documents "client wants any possible issue documented so they can sue the breeder. Euthanization is not recommended". The customer had the puppy euthanized anyway and did not tell us until after the fact. We would have happily picked the puppy up to avoid a cruel, vindictive and unwarranted euthanization. Anyone reading this may make their own conclusions.

I would’ve given a zero review if possible. They misrepresented a puppy I was looking to purchase. I found the same puppy on a different website with a different name and much cheaper pricing. Pawrade representatives texted me photos of a puppy they claimed to be theirs at over twice the cost, but obviously they recycle photos of other puppies.

Sadly, all puppies have a very short window of time to find their forever home. So we do not hold our partner breeders to any form of exclusivity. We want the pup to find a home through us or not. It is possible that the customer may have found the same pup listed elsewhere for a different price. But the only reason they found the pup at all was through our extensive marketing that helps folks find the perfect pup that they otherwise would never have found. All of our marketing pics are of the actual pup. And yes, the reality is this marketing is expensive. We also provide many other benefits that others do not. So be sure to compare apples to apples.

Sick Puppy, Zero Accountability – Worst Experience I’ve Ever Had
If you’re thinking about using this company, learn from my mistake and run the other direction. The puppy they sent me didn’t arrive with a “small cough” as they claimed – she showed up genuinely sick. Even the transport team was shocked she’d been released in that condition. I had to take her straight to the vet the moment she arrived.
The medical records tell the story they refused to acknowledge: severe cough requiring hydrocodone, suspected bacterial infection requiring doxycycline, ear infection, chest radiographs, PCR testing, and ongoing treatment. This wasn’t a minor issue. It was a seriously ill puppy that should never have been cleared for travel.
Instead of accountability, I got deflection. They pushed me toward an insurance claim like this was just an inconvenience instead of an animal’s health and a family’s emotional chaos. My kids were terrified their new puppy might die on day one.
This company does not take responsibility, does not vet their breeders properly, and does not provide support that matches the severity of the situations they cause. If you value transparency, ethics, or the health of the animal you’re paying for, choose anyone else.

It is true that the breeder sent the pup with a small cough that is common this time of year. The breeder knows folks get very eager to receive their new pup and didn't want to disappoint Jeremy. This would be covered under the complimentary Metlife insurance that we provide as well as the PetPay health guarantee. Unfortunately, Jeremy refuses to follow very simple protocols that take only a couple of minutes so that we can complete a claim for him and reimburse him properly. We have reached out to Jeremy repeatedly to try to resolve this and he consistently refuses any cooperation. Jeremy, please send us the required documents so that we can get you taken care of.

Terrible Terrible Company
Terrible Terrible Company. NOT even a phone call to say we are sorry for your loss. Just rude people that don't care anything about my family and what we are feeling. I bought a dog through them and spent 3800.00 for a German shepherd. The dog came to me sick and PETPAY does not have a health guarantee as they claim. They will find any way out of it. I had to put the dog down today after 4 months of having the dog and 3000k in vet bills. Dog had mega esophagus and was lethargic from day 1. NO EMPATHY FROM ANYONE. BREEDER, PAWRADE or PETPAY. I am going to do a news interview for my local news to get the message out there about these horrible companies. Edit: They want more details so let me give specifics. On November 10th we took our dog to the vet because she was acting more lethargic and had a been vomiting. I thought she may have eaten something. Well they did x ray and come to find out the vet said there was nothing in her but to take her to the ER if it persists. The next day we took her to the ER because she wasn't getting better. Could not eat or drink was becoming thinner by the day. They did more xray and said she has Mega Esophagus as well as Anisocoria and was born with a Neurological defect. They could not tell what exactly so we sent off for another test to see if it was Myathenia Gravis which would have been the best case senerio. Test came back 2 weeks that she did not have that and in fact had the biggest Esophagus on a dog that he had ever seen. We bought a bailey chair and tried to consult with Pawrade, The breeder and PetPay. All of which continued to act like I was trying to return a pair of pants. NOBODY would help and NOBODY cared. We put the dog down on the 21st because she had lost another 4 lbs. and was 34 lbs when I was told she was going to be 70-90 lbs. So spent 3300.00 on vet bills and treatments and my vet even agreed that she did not have a good quality of life. I have two adopted children 2 and 4 and you can imagine how hard that was with no replacement dog. I am sick over all of this. I do have the news wanting to run this story about the horrible experience that I have had. I hope this is detailed enough for PAWRADE to feel like CRAP. The replacement puppy came and was also very sick as stated by my vet. We had to rush her to the emergency vet where they suspected Parvo or Aspiration. They quoted 6k just to figure it out and with the health of the other puppy and the fact that the dog was 30% under body weight, there was no reason to make the poor puppy suffer. She came with a possible genetic spinal cord issue noted by my vet from her tail and large protruding joints that were not normal. There would have been no way they would have picked this dog up so that is bulls@*t.

We are very sorry that the pup fell ill after delivery. The pup had received a head to toe exam by a USDA licensed vet just days prior to delivery and was found to be completely healthy. The customer also had the pup fully inspected by her own vet just days after delivery where it was again found to be completely healthy. Six months later the customer reported issues. There was never a definitive diagnosis, allowing us to provide reimbursement/coverage. The customer elected to euthanize the puppy.
We did provide the customer with a replacement puppy that also was fully inspected by a USDA licensed vet and received a clean bill of health. After delivery the customer took the new pup to her vet and reported a "spinal issue". Customer initially refused to provide and documentation but finally provided a document that indicated a "possible" issue that may require treatment, but no definitive diagnosis. It is extremely important to note that the vet also indicated "client requests that any possible issue be noted so that she can sue the breeder. Euthanization is not recommended". The customer elected to euthanize the puppy anyway without even notifying us until after the fact. We certainly would have had a transporter pick up the pup to avoid the cruel, unwarranted euthanization of a beautiful pup. The unwarranted euthanization of this second pup raises many concerns.

Had everything planned and they…
Had everything planned and they delivered the wrong puppy so I dont have any good videos of the moment I first got my puppy bc the wrong one was delivered first. It is sad that they are taking no accountability for what happened to me. I have a ring camera of the incident occurring where the puppy was delivered dropped off took to my backyard. They took off and came back 10 minutes later with the right Puppy so yes, the wrong Puppy was delivered and it’s sad that there is no accountability for the situation happening to me so with that being said, I will go ahead and reduce the amount of stars that I’ve given for lack of accountability for a situation that should’ve never happened

Hey Jenny, Thank you for choosing Pawrade. We are sorry that the delivery of your pup didn't go perfectly as we try so hard for. But it is important to clarify that the delivery person stepped out of the van with another pup that was very similar to yours, immediately realized it, and went back into the van to get the correct pup. This occurred over the course of one minute. You were never delivered the wrong pup. Best wishes to you and your new furry family member.

After reading these reviews and all the…
After reading these reviews and all the problems these poor dogs had, this business should be ashamed of themselves. Looks like the breeders & Pawrade are out to make just the money. which the stories show this. A relation with a puppy should be one of the most wonderful thing in someones life. Pawrade you make it a horror story. This company needs to rethink how they do business. Dogs /Puppies should never be sold like this.
Response from PawradeDec 8, 2025
Lyn, It is clear that you have focused on the very small percentage of poor reviews. Keep in mind that folks who may be unhappy for any reason are far more likely to post a negative review than those that are completely happy. Perhaps go back and take a look at the thousands of 5 star reviews we have and factor them into your assessment.
