Alyssa S.
Hello
Hello, my name is Alyssa and I am the proud owner of a 15 week old goldendoodle, Gina! I adopted her from a breeder in Missouri. I submitted my payment on Monday, and on tuesday morning I was told by Peter (from Pawrade) that I would have more information to come, would have my puppy in about 2 weeks and that if I needed anything he would get it for me. Twice I asked him for pictures of the parents, never received them. Once asked for picture of the parents from the breeder, never received any. I asked Peter a few more questions, and never received any direct answers they were all relative. On tuesday night at about 10pm I got a text from the breeder saying my puppy would be on the way tuesday, with no time estimate. on wednesday at 3pm i was told she would be there thursday morning between 9-10am leaving me with little to no time to prepare my schedule. When I asked if the breeder would work with my schedule they said no and that they would have to re-deliver her two weeks later. To this date I have never received pictures of the parents. However, all is well I have the puppy but the delivery process was nightmarish and difficult to work with. Now, for the diagnosis. I was told by Pawrade to give me puppy Nutrical for few days after she arrived. I was prepared with this, however when she was delivered, I was given a second liquid that was to “help her adjust for the next few days” and was to give her this unknown pink liquid for five days. I immediately called my vet and ask what it was for, and after them clarifying it was for a parasite I told them I had no knowledge that she was sick. The vet explained that if she had diarrhea to stop the antibiotic, which she did and so I stopped. Four days later, and she was still having non-stop diarrhea that was an unhealthy color. I immediately took her to the vet, tested her stool, and it can back that she did in fact have antibodies for a parasite. As an avid dog lover, this broke my heart. If I knew she was sick, I would’ve still taken her but took her to the vet right away instead of letting her be in pain for four days because I was told by the breeder that diarrhea would be normal for a few days. Please be careful when discussing your puppy the the breeder, and hopefully your experience will be better than mine.

Hi Alyssa, Our team will be following up with you to better educate you on how your particular breeder and her Veterinarian take a proactive approach to deworming. Your breeder handles her own transport, we are sorry you had issues with their personal delivery service. We will reach out to them to see how we may assist in anyway moving forward. The medicine you were given by your Breeder is a preventative that she and her Veterinarian administer on a per puppy basis prior to travel as stress can and does wreak havoc over a pups futile immune system. We are sorry we failed to inform you that your Breeder takes this POSITIVE proactive approach. We will absolutely make note to better educate our customers moving forward and apologize for not informing you of such in advance. We can certainly see why you would be alarmed. This is a good thing and is absolutely not a reflection of a prior parasite infection nor an indication your puppy was ever sick. We are hopeful after you learn about the extra mile your breeder goes to ensure every puppy is healthy you'll reconsider your one star review.
