Very sick and dirty pup upon arrival
I wrote a 3 star review prior, just a day after receiving my pup but now giving my experience a 1 star. Prior I noted a nice experience but very upset with the condition of my pup upon arrival. He was extremely dirty snd covered in feces. Vet checked next day mentioned no visible parasites but asked me to keep watch of his stool due to diarrhea snd my concern. Puppy got worse so we sent Stool specimen out to be tested and it came back positive for giardia. $400 dollars later and special food due to intestinal issues, he is on the mends. Yes, I’ve submitted a claim to the insurance provided which I upgraded. It does have a $250 deductible but hoping I’ll get some reimbursement. The cleanliness of this process needs to be investigated. I do want a phone call from Pawrade to discuss.

**UPDATED REPLY** Puppy picture taken right at arrival does NOT depict a very dirty puppy: https://petpaydocuments.s3.amazonaws.com/b446a05c-08ed-4aaa-8d5e-617e9992f76e.jpg *** Your initial review reported "VERY HAPPY UPON ARRIVAL", and "I RECEIVED A BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY PUPPY NAME BOGEY". Giardia, parasites, are extremely common in puppies and well documented online. This is why all puppy's are required to be on de-wormers. We may control a lot but we cannot control when or what a puppy licks or sniffs. Their immune systems are not yet fully developed. Giardia normally costs no more than $40 to treat, we are so sorry your Veterinarian overcharged you for such a common, inexpensive treatment. We will do anything we can to have your Veterinarian reduce this outrageous bill. We have VERY strict protocols when it comes to transporting a puppy. Puppy's are not yet fully potty-trained and may spoil their crate bedding during transit. It is not in the best interest of a puppy during transit to be placed on the ground in any environment, anywhere, period. This goes for any transportation method, even if you pick-up your puppy, period. Otherwise each and every healthy puppy would be exposed to an array of diseases. KNOWLEDGE IS KEY: GERMS! GERMS! GERMS!: The grounds at rest stops, the grounds at Vet clinics, the sidewalks outside your front door, airports, any grass, your backyard, anywhere you name it contain GERMS, parasties, bacteria that puppy's lick and sniff. Humans are not as susceptible to these germs because we do not spend our lives licking and sniffing the ground where bacteria and germs thrive. We kindly ask that you revisit this 1-star review and understand we cannot control what Veterinarians do nor may we control what a puppy licks or sniffs even when in your custody.
