Unbelievably horrific experience
Unbelievably horrific experience! After patiently waiting and finding my dream dog on this website, I called immediately to figure out how I can claim the puppy and was told I need to pay in full & just like many websites, the list price is not what you pay. There’s hidden fees & travel & insurance & something called a “health guarantee“. Ha! What a joke. I received my puppy and followed all of the required steps. I had him less than eight months when he suddenly became sick and I spent thousands & thousands of dollars I didn’t have to take him to the vet and the emergency hospitals. I say that with an S because plural hospitals to try and find out what was wrong and within seven days he had passed away. Pawrade and their payment company Pet Pay do not guarantee the health of the puppy & when it came to his tragic passing, it was my fault for not getting an autopsy done. So they will not help reimburse the cost of the puppy nor provide me with a new puppy. They also will not flag that breeder or help me get in contact with the litter mates to warn those families. It’s been nothing but an unbelievably expensive heartbreak to work with this company and all the finger-pointing that goes with the charges and the bad news. Do not use this website. Do not give them your payment information and do not get your hopes up.

Mike, We are sorry that all did not go well for you. We understand that you are upset but your review is not fair or accurate. First there are absolutely no hidden fees. None. You only pay the advertised price, a very small transaction fee that is disclosed on the listing and again on the invoice before purchase, and the appropriate sales tax for your location. You do not have to pay for travel, you may pick up the pup at the breeder for free. We do offer optional travel services if you desire at very reasonable prices. We do not charge for insurance, in fact we provide 30 days of Metlife coverage for free. You chose not to extend this coverage. You do also get a 3 year PetPay Health Guarantee completely free. The Health Guarantee is not life or health insurance but a guarantee that your pup is free of genetic and congenital conditions. You reported to us after the fact that the pup had passed. You provided all the Vet docs that unfortunately gave no definitive answer as to what happened to the pup. Initially the vet seems to have thought the pup ingested something. Towards the end the vet was investigating a "cranial" issue. The symptoms could indicate many things including a head injury. For us to provide coverage under the Health Guarantee we would need a definitive diagnosis indicating it was a genetic or congenital condition. If that was not present then a Necropsy is required to determine the cause of death and ultimately any coverage. This is clear in your Health Guarantee and we would have guided and assisted you had we known before the pup died. We administer all claims fairly and with integrity. But as with any Guarantee there are limits and protocols that must be followed. Having had the pup for the months that you did it is impossible for us to know what may have suddenly caused your pup to take ill and pass.
