Update: I do not have the 3year coverage. Dog has been limping for a while but vet did not find this until just passed the 1year of the coverage so it won’t be covered. That is why I did not communicate with you, I assumed you would not cover this at this point.
Dog has severe luxating patella due to genetic predisposition. Result of poor breeding.
Response from PawradeApr 1, 2025
Federica, we are sorry to hear on Trustpilot that your pup has a luxating Patella. There are MANY reasons for this to happen outside of genetics. This condition is extremely common in the breed of pup that you chose. This condition may be covered by your 3 year PetPay HG as you have had your pup for over a year. But we have no communication from you. You will need to submit all of your veterinarian documents to [email protected] so that we may administer a claim for you.

Pawrade Sold Me a Puppy with CRYPTORCHIDISM – Unethical Breeding & No Accountability
I deeply regret choosing to work with PetPay and Pawrade due to their failure to uphold basic ethical standards and accountability in their breeding practices. My puppy, Lucas, was diagnosed with cryptorchidism, a hereditary condition where one of his testicles failed to descend, and the other was underdeveloped. This condition is entirely preventable with RESPONSIBLE BREEDING and proper genetic screening—yet neither Pawrade nor their breeder took the necessary precautions.
Despite the seriousness of this issue, both companies have refused to take responsibility, hiding behind contractual loopholes rather than addressing the ethical concerns or making meaningful changes. Please know people, IT IS UNETHICAL TO BREED DOGS WITH THIS TERRIBLE GENETIC CONDITION.
Lucas’ condition has long-term health risks, requires surgery, and increases the likelihood of testicular cancer. Yet, Pawrade dismissed it as a “minor” issue, and please know this hereditary issue will not cover the health guarantee window—even though cryptorchidism often cannot be diagnosed in newborn puppies. In most puppies, both testicles should descend into the scrotum by 6 to 8 weeks of age, and almost all will have descended by 4 months. However, veterinarians usually wait until about 6 months of age to make a definitive diagnosis of cryptorchidism — the condition where one or both testicles fail to descend and will not descend at all. Their reliance on this technicality is designed to protect themselves, NOT the animals or their customers. Cryptorchidism is GENETIC — meaning the puppy inherits it from the parents. If a male dog has it, he should NEVER be bred, because he can pass the condition down. Even if only one testicle is affected, the dog is still considered cryptorchid and SHOULD NOT be used in breeding.
To be clear: this is not a case of a “testicle that may descend later.” Veterinary professionals confirmed that this is a congenital defect—the testicle will not descend—and that this condition is genetically inherited and requires surgical correction to prevent serious health consequences. Brushing it off as “common” is irresponsible and misleading.
What’s most troubling is that their contract seems to excuse unethical breeding practices, allowing them to continue working with breeders who fail to prevent genetic defects. By supporting such breeders, Pawrade perpetuates irresponsible breeding that harms both the dogs and the families who welcome them into their homes. If this happened to your puppy — would you still call it ‘a minor issue’? Would you trust a company that knowingly breeds animals with preventable, inherited conditions just to make a profit?
All Pawrade does is gaslight the comments that bring up real problems instead of solving the issue. Just go around and read other reviews—they consistently dismiss serious experiences like mine and deflect instead of taking accountability.
We followed every procedure they required, every step they outlined — and still, we were left without support. I truly hope no other family has to experience the heartbreak and betrayal we did by trusting a company that puts policy over compassion.
I trusted Pawrade to provide a healthy, ethically bred pet, and they have failed to meet that promise. Potential customers should know that this company prioritizes legal protections over ethics, transparency, and animal welfare.
If you value responsible breeding, honesty, and accountability, I strongly urge you to reconsider choosing Pawrade or PetPay.
Unethical breeding isn’t just a mistake — it’s a choice. And every time it’s excused, another animal pays the price.

Got an adorable dog from their website
Got an adorable dog from their website, we were told about how well cared for their puppies were prior to arrival - the puppy arrived with notes from the breeder talking about the “premium” puppy food they were provided and a can of WalMart brand Ol’ Roy was included to feed our pup. (Seriously?)
We were told that we needed to bring our dog to the vet within 72 hours or it would “void” health guarantees - we met this commitment and sent copies of the clinical note. In their health guarantee - they warrant that if the dog gets diagnosed with giardia, they pay for the first round of meds. After a few days, our dog began with diarrhea, it was erratic, but as it progressed, we brought a sample to our vet, who was curious if the diarrhea might have been related to dietary changes when we transitioned our puppy to ACTUAL quality food. Turns out, she had giardia, we reached out to Pawrade who promptly refused the claim and refused to pay for the meds saying we didn’t bring our dog to the vet and have this test run on 72 hours. (We weren’t told to have this test run) but did have her evaluated. Pawrade even sent a letter explaining why dogs would have a false negative test as a reason to support their refusal.
All I can say is, at this point, we have zero confidence in the quality out in to puppy care before they come to us, and even less confidence in the assurances of their guarantees!
We love our dog to death, but have less than zero confidence in Pawrade.

Hey Kaj, We are happy to hear that your pup arrived to you safely as promised. It is true that we require all pups to be taken for a wellness visit within 72 hours to be sure all is well as being rehomed can be very stressful for the pups. It is also to protect you as a new puppy parent. Any issue found within that 72 hours is on us and the breeder. Outside of that 72 hours and things such as Giardia could have occurred after you took possession making it more difficult to fairly assess responsibility. A fecal test is considered a regular part of a wellness exam. The Giardia would still be covered by the complimentary Metlife insurance that we provide. Not meeting the 72 hour requirement only voids the first 14 days of coverage, the remainder of the 3 years is still valid.

OMG HORRIBLE! MY EXPERIENCE WORST EVER
OMG! Horrible experience with this company. I wanted to buy a puppy named Marie. This company was kind at first, took my payment in full. After receiving payment and signing a contract they demanded I upload drivers license next day (personally identifiable information) My American Express paid the amount no issues and I received their confirmation for payment made in full. Then day after uploading my drivers license they want me to provide a copy of my credit card. Sorry with an unlimited credit line that is too much information to provide a dog placement company. They gave me a BS line it is for your security we want this information LOL Hello? They already received payment and after taking my money are worried about my security? Am I missing something here? Am I stupid? Now I can't get a hold of anyone, even the woman following up named Pam has disappeared and they refuse to call me as promised. There was no statement in the contract I signed agreeing to provide this company any document requested. They are over reaching their business and telling me they are a fraud company. Tell me, if fraud was involved they would contact American Express Fraud Department with their merchant ID and date of transaction to verify any issues. Not take my monies and demand copies of all my personal documents to obtain a puppy. This is how our information is leaked, sold, stolen on the web, company's playing detective and obtaining too much personal information. Payment was made as agreed upon, now sending me my puppy as promised or refund 100% of my money

Hey Alvin, we are sorry that you are not happy with our process. Sadly the puppy adoption market is rife with scammers. Here at Pawrade it is one of our top prioroities to make sure that does not happen to customers or breeders. We use Stripe, the largest and most reputable payment processor in the world to verify identity. Sometimes they detect an issue that can be an indication of fraud. Your transaction did trigger and alert. Perhaps you have been the victim of fraud previously. When this happens we ask for additional information to be sure all is ok. We want to make sure YOU are not the victim of identity theft. We are sorry if you find our diligence and thoroughness distressing. It is also important to note that we did refund you and wish you the best in finding a new pup elsewhere.

Horrible communication, still no puppy 2 weeks after purchase
We are currently in the process of working with pawrade and it has been an absolute nightmare. We purchased the puppy at 13 weeks old on a Sunday. We were told he would have his head to tail vet visit on Friday and we were told we would pick him up the following Tuesday.
There was zero communication around the time we could pick him up and had not heard anything by the following Sunday. We followed up again on Sunday only to learn that the puppy's ear had been scratched by his litter mate and could no longer be picked up as planned. The puppy will need to get re-checked but there is no date for that yet nor is there a date for when we can pick him up again. We called again today (original day we were supposed to get him) and still have no answers.
The communication has been pitiful and led solely by us constantly calling and messaging. We have no proof of the incident, when it happened, if he is okay..NOTHING.
There is no urgency to get the puppy to us and we are missing valuable time as he is now 15 weeks old and we have no clue when we will get him.
The only urgency this company has is to get their money, which they take in full and provide awful service thereafter.

Jenna, we are sorry that this did not go as smoothly as usual. It is true that the pup did get an injury to its ear while romping with the other pups. And we are sorry that we did not communicate the details to you as quickly as we possibly could have. We were trying to get all the details so that we could address the situation for you completely. We offered you a couple of options considering the pups issue, you chose one, and the pup has since been delivered to you as promised. Like any business we do sometimes hit some speedbumps but we make an honest effort to make it right.

Hi please never use this site
Hi please never use this site. They are a rip off and do not care about any animals. They care about the money and it’s sad. Please, please don’t EVER pay a dollar for this bullshit site
Response from PawradeMar 7, 2025
Hey Wendy, we dont who you are so we cant really effectively respond to your claims here. We asked you through Trustpilot to provide more information so that we could address your concerns but you refused to respond. This leaves us with the likely implication that this "review" is from one of the many activists who regularly leave "reviews" on any business who helps folks find puppies for fully licensed and reputable breeders.

This company refuses to honor a health…
This company refuses to honor a health guarantee. My puppy showed up sick, spent over 7k on medical bills, he died 2 weeks in. Joey Walsh from PetPay is submissive and incompetent. He honestly at this point is just vindictive and finds pleasure in not honoring health guarantees.
Response from PawradeMar 7, 2025
Jered, We are so sorry that your pup became ill. We were working to process your Health Guarantee claim, communicating with you constantly. Unfortunately, like any claim process there are procedures and protocols that have to be followed that ensure integrity. The fact is that you refused to allow us a reasonable time to process your claim and instead disputed your charges with your bank. This halted the process as we then have to respond to the bank which can take up to 90 days for them to respond. We cant refund disputed funds. This was explained to you and we pleaded with you to withdraw your disputes so we could process your claim and you refused.

Unhealthy puppy
My husband and I had been wanting a Bernese Mountain dog puppy for a long time. We found our perfect puppy on Pawrade. They were amazing from the first phone call with helping us get Duke Maddux Phillips (Norris). When we got him we were beyond excited. We got him to our vet within 72 hours and found out that our new fur baby was malnourished, had bilateral ear infections and was flea infested, severely. We immediately reached out to Pawrade and informed them that they should not be working with this breeder anymore from where Duke (Norris) came from. They only offered us a 50 dollar refund otherwise we haven’t heard from them, in the meantime we are spending lots of time and money to get our puppy healthy. I would not recommend this company to anyone, which is unfortunate because I had wanted to work with them again in the future but I don’t trust the breeders that they work with or this company. I would advise to look elsewhere for your next fur baby.
Response from PawradeMar 7, 2025
Tanya, below is the text form our response to your husband who left a negative review as well.
Scott, we are sorry to hear that you have some minor health concerns with your pup. Ear infections are very common especially on long hair breeds like your pup. We do provide 30 days of COMPLIMENTARY Metlife health insurance to all our clients. You absolutely are NOT required to extend the coverage in any way and we do not benefit in any way if you choose to. We provide this to help with any of the common issues with new puppies in addition to your 3 year Petpay Health Guarantee. The $50 would be to cover the Metlife deductable so you have no out of pocket expenses for the ear infections. As with any claim on any policy there are protocols that have to be followed that ensure fairness and integrity. All of our breeders are carefully vetted as well as fully licensed and inspected by the USDA as well as any local regulatory authorities depending on their location. Your pup is AKC registered and from a very reputable breeder.
