This company’s whole business model relies on people forgetting to cancel their membership fee. They offer free trials everywhere but drag their feet sending password renewals so that they can eventually charge their auto renewal which they say is non refundable regardless of how quickly you cancel. I originally also got an email upon cancellation that my benefits ended immediately but once I asked about a refund then their tone changed and my benefits continued for the year so no refund would be applicable. Never had another company not offer a prorated refund when canceling right after an auto renewal. Even Amazon offers that. The way the support responds, you can tell this auto renewal is how they make their money. Ultimately, support your local vet, but if you insist on using this service for some reason be very very very careful not to forget your password and cancel your account weeks in advance.

This company tried to charge my credit card for $99. and I have never signed up for their services. Not sure how they got my account number.

There is no telephone number to contact Pawp. I canceled my membership and was still charged the next day for a year membership. I have no way of contacting Pawp to receive my $99 dollars.

Do Not use Pawp. I got ripped off. I paid all of my premiums to date and was denied a simple cremation reimbursement. I submitted the invoice on time and then received a message that they needed the medical records. I submitted the medical records on time, per the email message I received. I got all green check marks on the app and took a screenshot showing the documents were successfully submitted. Then I received an email saying the claim was denied because it was not sent on time. Bad enough I lost my beloved Buddy who was 15 years old, and now I have to deal with Pawp denying a simple reimbursement claim for the cremation. I was told on the phone by a Pawp rep that there would not be any issues and there were.

We subscribed for two years and submitted a claim after our dog had emergency surgery for bladder stones. It look over a month of hounding them for a response for them to completely back track and lie about how much they would cover. It said we were approved for $3000, we entered our banking info, then they only transferred half, claiming all of a sudden they only cover one invoice for the emergency, despite their website and app stating to submit all invoices for review and needing all that documentation. Absolutely a scam and I will be telling everyone I know to stay far away from this company. Ridiculously complicated and hustling with promises of payment that are never fulfilled.

I followed all the rules. I submitted all the paperwork for my dogs emergency. They denied the claim. The foxtail in my dogs eye was not deemed an emergency. Even though Pawps own vet told me to get my dog to a vet as it was an emergency. Then I heard a bunch of other people had gone through this with PAWP. This site is a scam. Don’t get this insurance. Look elsewhere.

They’re a scam organization. There’s 0 customer service. I don’t mean that as in they aren’t friendly or kind it’s that you literally cannot get a hold of anyone when it comes to claims. You may get an email response from them days later. They hide unfair policy in fine print and unless you have a lawyer review your policy you will never receive a payout on any legitimate claim. They are not BBB accredited. That should be your hint. Cheap money grab and one can only hope the free market and hundreds of legitimate competitors put them out of business .

When this company first started out, they were great. In the past two years however - I don’t know if they’ve just grown too fast or if they really are just scam artists. But it will be the most frustrating experience of your life. You want to run - not walk away from this company for these reasons. 1. Reimbursements take forever or never– if you’re lucky enough to get one – they take a minimum of two weeks. 2. You literally cannot ever talk to anyone – there is no phone number. And when you contact them through text and email all you get back are automatically generated replies, such as “Thank you for reaching out” blah blah blah. It’s like a vicious cycle and you’re just caught in it. 3. Even if you carefully read the policy and send in all relevant documents and call them beforehand and follow the rules - they WILL find a reason to deny you. They told us we declined medical care, when in reality, after being at the ER Vet ALL night (7 hours) and getting NO Treatment other than tests and fluids, we had the ER vet send the test results to our daytime vet. Since it was 8AM at that point. - $5,000 in and they had the AUDACITY to say we denied medical treatment?!?!? (ER Vet was $2300 - never got a penny from PAWP). 4. You cannot appeal. 5. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. This company should not be allowed to market in our State - my next thing on the to-do list. Don’t waste your money.
