I received a promotional code through my Walmart Plus membership for Pawp. I THOUGHT I was signing up for that promotion via my mobile device, come to find out, it was a 3 day trial, not the promotion I was given through Walmart+. So I canceled the 3 day trial same day, and reached out to their support. They provided me with direction and a link to sign up, and instructed me to use my computer, not a mobile device. So when I went to complete the sign up with the promotional code, it was then prompting me to pay $99. So I reached back out and was told that I had already signed up and canceled a trial so I was not able to sign back up under a promotion. Definitely will not be using their services, as they clearly knew what I did was a honest mistake and misunderstanding.

Emergency - that means life or death right? This company is a scam. Their subpar doctors misdiagnose urgent issues. You go to emergency- they tell it could be "x" but we can't tell and its too dangerous of surgery dont feel comfortable trying it, we can only do more harm than good if it is "x". Go to true surgeon for consult and tell him the history - this dog needs surgery right now or it will die. Pawp - no, thats not an emergency. We want see how much you paid for everything else even though that's not what you are claiming. Give us all the previous unnecessary paperwork even those those pieces aren't the emergency you're claiming. If anyone puts together a class action with place - add me to the list.

We had a medical emergency with our cat, and I followed the instructions as to having the video call with the Pawp vet. That vet told me during that chat to take him to the vet ASAP, due to his symptoms and we did. Pawp then refused to cover any of it. I understand perhaps not covering some parts, but having spent 20 a month for multiple months, then following the instructions exactly as they are in the terms, and being outright denied coverage feels like straight up theft. EDIT 6/2/2023 I see your reply. To recap, I paid you for many months, and followed your instructions exactly. I video conferenced your Vet, as required, and followed her SPECIFIC direction to take my cat to the vet. The vet trip resulted in him being treated in an emergency fashion that saved his life, and he was kept overnight for observation to make sure he did not relapse. You simply did not like the bill when it was presented, and used this easy out, vague excuse to justify your refusal to complete your obligation. Your service is a scam, overall. I am sure you pay some here and there, and pad your online reviews to bury ones like this to maintain the appearance of being legitimate.

Don't bother getting this insurance. It is a complete fraud. I had my claim denied for something that is clearly covered in their terms. Don't waste your money here. Find insurance that is actually insurance

They are a complete scam my dog was diagnosed with heart failure and they told me it was deemed an emergency however now that they have to pay out they denied the claim right away they are a complete rip off don’t use them. **** Update**** I was told my dog was going to die regardless they wanted to keep her on “oxygen” until her heart failed your company can easily say pay it and then deny me just like the $350 claim was denied we spent a few hours with her and laid her to rest that night you don’t know the situation you vets know how to scam people out of their money that’s what I do know just like all the bs testing that I paid for that had nothing to do with her condition not only do I have to deal with the loss of my animal but I get your snarky ass comments on my post about a violation if you mf’s were losing your animal you wouldn’t say keep her ass in an oxygen tank until her heart fails so gtfoh with that you have hella nerve

I had a pet emergency and they did not help me. I was told it was serious I did not get to video chat as my phone died in route to the emergency hospital and my pet needed emergency care. November 19th they had me fill out a form to get reimbursed not guaranteed but not impossible without the video chat they said as they said sometimes you have to do what’s best for your pet. Never talked to a real person. The next 2 days she was given antibiotics and pain meds and as the emergency vet said she had her eye removed it was that bad. That was the bigger bill. I did not even try to do the emergency fund for that one because no communication on the first part of this emergency. I would like at least a email or a phone call in response to this incident.

I did a visit for my cat in August regarding separation anxiety he had. Then he got very sick in November, we did a few more visits and I EXPLICITLY asked if a video call was necessary for the emergency coverage fund and two different people said no because we were already physically at the vet’s office. When I submitted my claim for reimbursement, I was told we were denied because the August visit was, according to them, when he first presented with symptoms and we waited until November to have him seen, additionally we did not do the video call. My cat was diagnosed with FIP, had he had FIP in august he would’ve been dead by September so clearly the people they have do the chats don’t know how to do their jobs or the records I submitted would’ve shown that. Secondly, I was advised by two different team members that the video chat was not necessary for the emergency fund application even though I reiterated that the guidelines stated it was, they assured me I could still apply and be eligible.I’ve been paying for Pawp for over a year and spent $1,100 at the vet on the presumption that’d we be covered. This company is an absolute scam, they will come up with any & all excuses to deny a rightfully submitted claim. Would give 0 stars if possible.

I had them for a year and when I finally did have an emergency they made up some bs reason to not pay and were very unprofessional about it!
