My German shepherd had a emergency ER visit. I contacted Pawp and was told to take her to ER which I did ...too long of a story. But long story short I purchased this for we travel and wanted some insurance if something like this happen. But when I tried to get reimbursed for the ER visit I had to jump thru hoops ...I paid for emergency insurance!!!! I debated with them for awhile and was still turned down because I did not let them keep my dog overnight! They said I turned down the vet recommendations...which I took all the meds and the diet change but I was not going to let them keep my dog in strange city and not my vet. Just find another insurance for your pet other than Pawp!!!

This company is definitely one to avoid. I enrolled in their Emergency Fund, meticulously followed all the guidelines to ensure reimbursement, but my claim was still denied without any explanation. Upon reviewing other customer experiences, it's clear they habitually look for any pretext to reject claims—whether claiming "it wasn't an emergency," alleging failure to contact Pawp, or accusing customers of not submitting documentation in time. Despite strictly adhering to their protocols for my dog's emergency and timely submitting all required documents, my claim was unjustly rejected. I plan to report this company to all relevant government agencies. They masquerade as a pet insurance provider, but it's entirely a scam. Be vigilant and don't be deceived as I was. Update: Pawp posted a reply to reach to their medical Team. I have emailed them 2 days ago with no response. There's no working phone number for the medical team or Pawp.

Don't trust this company. We have paid for PAWP for years and when we finally needed it, the company failed us and would not pay. Their reason was that we did not receive "in person veterinary care when the symptoms first began", which is absolutely ridiculous because we thought maybe it was just a small virus or something our dog had, and we had been in touch with our vet. . Does everyone run their pet to the vet the minute they get start acting a little ill? We waited a couple of days and then took her to the emergency vet. What a joke of a company and a waste of money Update 3/12/24: We were in contact with our vet and why she was being treated with Prednisone and antibiotics. When she started to decline, we contacted the vet through PAWP and they recommended getting seen which is why we took her in that very day. Not every emergency is an emergency the very day the symptoms start. I am an ER nurse and if everyone came to the ER at the first sniffle or stomach ache, we would send them away. If symptoms worsen instead of getting better, then it becomes an emergency. Most symptoms of virus' improve instead of getting worse, which is why as responsible pet owners, we monitor our pet closely and bring her in when things aren't getting better. As most people are aware, vet visits are very expensive. PAWP will only cover "emergency care", so if you take your pet in too soon, and it's not deemed an "emergency", then your claim will get denied. If you monitor you pet and bring them in if they are not improving in a few days, then the claim gets denied because you didn't bring them in sooner. You can see as a pet owner why this is so frustrating. Can you imagine if this were the case for humans? You have to allow for a little bit of common sense and trust the fact that we know our pet best and were not just letting her suffer for days at home!

I am sitting on $1700 vet bill because Pawp denied refund, Their reasoning: I did not bring my 13 year-old beagle to see the vet soon enough. My dog was throwing up couple of times, starting around 10 days before he died. After 10 days we thought that has to be something serious and brought him to the vet. They found a mass obstructing the intestines… Likely cancer. Not sure it would help to bring him to the vet 10 days earlier, given the symptoms.

Dog was cut by a piece of tin; video conference with 'licensed vet tech' who approved emergency care. Submitted a request for emergency funds along with the receipt that the vet had provided to me. PAWP refuse documentation and requested full medical history with itemized/detailed vet notes surrounding procedure with a "7-day grace period" and if you are unable to acquire these docs from your vet and submit them 'your screwed". Vet didn't respond and I had to be in NYC for treatment of prostate cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I have been a client of PAWP for at least 5 years and they stated "NO EXCEPTIONS". Bill was for 741.00! PAWP REASONING: 7-Day Grace period is so they can continue to provide services for other clients, Meaning: we are not going to hire more people to continue to provide good customer service.

I had PAWP insurance for nearly three years before I recently had to take my dog for an emergency veterinarian visit in which my dog was diagnosed with diabetes. Although I contacted a PAWP veterinarian as soon as symptoms of illness became apparent, and I took my dog for treatment within a 4 hour time frame after the PAWP veterinarian consultation, PAWP denied any reimbursement even though I followed all requirements specified in PAWP’s policy. I have since cancelled my membership with PAWP and would recommend that any responsible pet owner seek insurance with someone else. Before you consider PAWP please review the terms of the emergency fund policy, which will reveal how unreasonable the extensive conditions/exclusions are, and that PAWP can decline emergency coverage at their discretion for any reason.

I guess I accidentally signed up through T-Mobile. Never used the service and was charged $99 for absolutely nothing. They will not refund or help in any way. I was emailing with Benjamin who was not helpful. This is a scam, I would stay clear. I also never write bad reviews unless i feel that it will help the next person, and this is for sure one of those cases. Such poor business and customer care!

If I could give a zero I would. This company is a total scam and needs to be shutdown for unethical business practices. Stay far far away from Pawp. They refuse to issue refunds and provide horrible customer service. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they still refuse to issue a refund. They have a company policy against giving refunds. I canceled my membership, you should issue a refund. Your customer service advised me to call my bank and dispute the charge since Pawp does not give refunds. I did that and you still refused to allow my bank to give me the refund. Pawp is a horrible company. Everyone should stay away from this company!!! To everyone, who is also dissatisfied from this service and enrolled through T-Mobile, I suggest you also file a report with T-Mobile. This way T-Mobile will have no choice but to end their partnership with Pawp.
