We had a wonderful trip - our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient with our group. The hotels and food were much better than other travel companies that we have used for student travel, and the unique experiences added to the trip and felt genuine, rather than just a check in the box. There were two challenges: first, there were no whisper devices for our trip, which made traveling through Tokyo and other crowded areas with 40 people very challenging; second, the itinerary seemed a bit rushed at times and then too much time provided in other areas. I know that Passports is extremely accommodating, though - next time, I know to request and discuss the itinerary in more detail earlier.

The travel out and trip itself were amazing. Our group leader and guide were great. We could have used more assistance when the travel home plans fell apart.

The organization before the trip was great! A couple improvements would be to explain early on to tour leaders that it is extremely hard to get tickets to make it to the top of the Eiffel Tower and to let them know that tipping is not included. I found that out a little late and felt uncomfortable asking parents for more money, which let to our guide not being tipped as well as she should have. Our guides on the first day and the south of France portion of our trip were excellent. The food was great and the hotels well located in the center of town. However, the guide during our 2-day visit of Paris was not good at all and the homestay could have been better. Some students had families who went the extra mile to take care of them and show them a good time and others had families who did the bare minimum, which was disappointing for them and me.

My group and I enjoyed very much our trip to Greece with Passports. We stayed in a nice hotel where the food and the staff were excellent. We also enjoyed the Greek food which were included in our tour. The portions were more than enough, and everything was delicious. Our last dinner was buffet style with a variety of dishes and great entertainment.

Our passports tour consultant was extremely helpful walking us through the planning process and dealing with any issues that came up. When we could not be combined with another group within our potential dates of travel, Passports was very helpful in going over possibilities for adjusting our itinerary to minimize the additional cost to become a private group. Since we had a private group, our itinerary was very flexible and allowed us to really customize our experience.

While I was staying in Paris with my host family, I had the most amazing time and everything was beyond great. However, once we got to Nice, our hotel did not have a fridge, so the food that I had brought with me from Paris went bad, which was a huge inconvenience for me and caused me to spend the money I had saved for other things on rebuying the food that went bad. Other than this, the trip was very well planned.
