I missed a scheduled interview because I happened to be at the emergency with a potentially life threatening version of the current deadly flu in Florida. Park did not even consider letting me reschedule. Good news. I DIDN'T actually die. Thanks for your reply. First I made every effort to contact your your company, explain my situation and reschedule. In the future I will certainly try not to have a life threatening asthma attack at a time so inconvenient to your company. I am sure your time was much more valuable than my potential life and death situation. I am a CPA who ran an accounting firm for 25 years. During that time I managed to retain almost my entire client base. I certainly do not need a lesson from you on proper and professional communication and behavior. Nor do I need a reminder that I am but one of what, hundreds of minions lying in wait for this opportunity. And I have repeatedly asked you to drop the matter. Since yo u appear unable to do so perhaps you are suffering some form of guilt and to appease it why don't you just reschedule my interview, seeing how I missed it only because of pretty much a life and death situation. I notified you within hours which is remarkable given the circumstances and actually further did the professional thing and apologized for my tardiness. When I asked to reschedule a simple yes or no would have sufficed but here we are still discussing.

Hi Eva, we're sorry to hear you were dealing with a medical situation last week and hope you're feeling better. We, along with Paro's clients, value communication extremely highly and as such, it's a core component of the vetting process into the freelance network. Given the number of applications we receive each week, we've made it a policy to reject applicants who fail to show up to an interview. We understand that emergencies do happen so we do take any follow-up communications into consideration in our decision. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept you into the Paro Network at this time, but encourage you to re-apply in six months. Thanks for the feedback and good luck finding your next opportunity!
