We’ve been estranged from one of our children for going on four years. That was our motivation for joining the PACT program. However, what we’ve learned in the modules and in the workshop sessions has been invaluable in so many ways, and we’re already benefiting for applying the principles with all three of our adult children. In particular, some of the skills, like learning to pause in conversation helps us to be more relaxed and listen to them better. Also, we’re understanding that it’s no longer our job to parent our children, but to see them as separate individuals who make their own choices and have their own values. We’ve even had one of our children comment to us how much our support has meant. We’re so thankful to have found this program that is helping us to learn things we wish we had known years ago!

My son and I have been estranged for two years now. I did everything I could to apologize, make amends, sent gifts, money, texts, stopping by to say Hi, going to therapy to no avail. He continued to block myself and our whole family including his siblings, his father, his uncles aunts cousins and his 93 year old grandmother who ALL love him! I’ve been praying so long and boom! The Lord answered my prayer! I found Catherine on Instagram or Facebook I don’t remember speaking about her program and her vast experience with estranged parents and children. What a ministry she has! The information she has gleaned over the years in her PARENT method is spot on! I am devouring every presentation. I now see the path to hope and change! Surprisingly the change begins with me! And I can control that!! I see how this program is also helping me better understand my other two young adults. The benefits are so rich. Even if my son never responds back to me, there’s no guarantee- I am changing for the better for all of my other relationships. Priceless!

My living daughter and I have been in a deep freeze for years. Her older sister died from suicide when she was 39 in 2015. The distance between us weighed heavily on my heart for years. I didn’t know what to do. I spoke to therapists and in other 12 step groups and tried to make amends but it seemed to backfire and not work. I found Catherine online and listened to her initial presentation. This was so supportive and realizing that 25% of adult children in America are estranged from their parents made me feel Not so alone and a failure. Taking her classes and listening to her presentations is giving me a new perspective on being a parent and a mature individual to live my life fully. Her other speakers are also so incredible. I am still processing the modules and since I started I feel a shift already in her responses to my texts, my texts are more supportive of her and my eldest granddaughter does on her own texts me and sends photos. They also post instagrams of the family dogs and I can communicate by my comments back. I feel So much more hopeful in this new era in my life. The torch in some ways has been passed to the next generation and I am understanding my role in it. I was an only child, only 4 cousins, divorced after 25 years to her dad and he stopped communicating with her since she was 14 except attending her sister’s memorials. She is 47 now with three children and a wonderful husband and a wonderful set of parents that have been together over 55 years. I married a second time to an amazing blind fellow and he died in 2018. Becoming a widow was difficult for me and my daughter didn’t know how to be with a wounded mom. I ended up meeting a fellow on line and moved out to the PNW three years ago. That relationship is ending and she finally revealed how much she disliked him and is giving me some good advice to guide me thru this process. Yes our relationship is so much better but I believe it will become even more fulfilling and loving as I continue with the PACT program. It is a very complete, supportive and compassionate group of people led by a dedicated caring professional. Thank you Catherine

I joined this community at the beginning of this year because I needed help in managing my family dynamics. I was very depressed and felt so hopeless. I blamed myself for not being a better parent and was loaded with guilt and shame for everything my 3 adult children were struggling with. My children are 48, 50, and 52. Two of them are battling cancer and the other one is having serious financial issues. I am taking care of her 2 grown children. For various reasons my 3 children do not talk to each other and this has been so hard especially during the holidays. Through all the resources provided in this program I have learned to alleviate my guilt and put my life in a much more healthy perspective. My children are on their own journey and I am on mine. I am very grateful to be able enjoy them each individually without having the expectations that it needs to be different or I am responsible for them to change and reunite as a family. I can only hope. 💗

From the moment I listened to an introductory video from Catherine Hickham, my gut feeling was that this was going to be a very realistic program that I felt may truly help me. I have a daughter who never left my side and now hasn’t spoken to me in a decade! I thought by joining this program, I might gain an insight into what I could do that I haven’t done before - that part is still a work in progress! However, an even more amazing & unexpected outcome has happened from going through this program ( and I am only 3 months into it). It has helped me evolve, understand myself better, has kept me calmer, and in the process has greatly improved my closeness with my adult son. The learning modules, the live streams, the ability to get questions answered, the supportive community of other parents going through similar struggles, and the one on one sessions with my coach, have brought me a great inner peace, understanding of myself, and a hopeful future! I am so glad I listened to my gut feelings about joining this program!! It gets better and better!!!!

This fellowship has helped me, a widow, feel less alone in trying to connect with and help my son, who has been through a lot, been angry and depressed and dealing with anxiety and under a lot of stress. The modules have been great but the Tuesday and Thursday lessons have been too. I miss some due to other obligations so I’m grateful for the recordings when I need them. I’ve been under a lot of stress and had been seeing a therapist but this is working much better for me. I can definitely see progression in my relationship with my son and in my ability to be more helpful to him. I think he is progressing too. We talk several times a day and he seems to be getting more done and moving ahead in his life. I’m feeling grateful for the first time in a long time and more hopeful. Thanks and best wishes to all as we move forward! Lynda True

I became aware of Catherine’s marketing videos at a time when I felt “more separated” (but not estranged) from my eldest adult child and it hurt. I felt compelled to enroll in P.A.C.T. And as I became more engrossed in learning with the modules, classes, and coaching, I felt a renewed spirit of affirmation and support. Specifically, I have come to an understanding of boundaries, which was the reason for my adult child’s distancing themselves and this has provided a perspective shift. My adult child’s is very excited about my “doing the work” by taking the P.A.C.T. course.
