Paramed used to be a good organization. PSWs were sometimes a little late but for the most part they came to take care of my nonagenarian bedridden mother. Now, every week at least one PSW doesn't show up and I'm not notified that they're not coming and, at least twice nobody showed up at all for the day. There's a regular schedule and sometimes I have two PSWs showing up at the same time because one PSW is fully 3, 4, or 5 hours late. If I'm not there sometimes they don't change her so she's left in her own feces and urine until we find out. This is a 90 year old who is stuck in bed and relies on them to change her diaper. Truly, Paramed shouldn't be running an organization that takes care of elderly and sick who are an at risk segment of the population and I would barely use Paramed to deliver food much less care for invalids if I had any choice.

Paramed delivers PSWs (Personal Support Workers) to clients in their residence.Too many times it has not done this. Paramed does not even always contact me to inform me a PSW is not coming. It is Paramed's responsibility to make sure PSWs show up. If a client has an urgent medical matter and a PSW does not show up, Paramed might be in much trouble. Parameds sign in electronically throughout the day for each client. A PSW is supposed to show up at the client's door, if there was no answer by phone, and knock or ring. If there is no answer, the PSW is expected to call 911. The Ontario Health atHome (OHH) coordinates the activities of companies, such as Paramed, that provide PSWs and other services. Does anyone know something else to do?
