I ordered two hats and when they arrived, I tried them both on. They looked and fit terrific, I was happy! It has been a month since they arrived, one got slightly larger and the other slightly smaller, both have lost continuity in shape. I live in a mountain tropical climate, so mold is pretty common. These hats both mold up quicker than any hats I have. Therefore, I will leave them at our other place which is drier, so I will rarely get the chance to wear them. These hats both came with lining, which made them uncomfortably warm, so I cut them out. Great web page, nice people, but overall, I'm disappointed.

Sorry to hear you have had problems please contact us to work this out with you. Liners don't need to be "cut out" they are attached with a light spot of hot glue so it is removable just pull it a little and it will come loose. Some really like it others don't, that is why it is removable. Casey

40 days to receive my order with an USA …
40 days to receive my order with an USA adress, instead of 15 days delay announced in the website. I hoped receive the hat while i am in the US for holidays ( 23 days), but not, I must pay 40 USD more to send the hat to France, with the help of my sister who live in USA.

we are am an American Company located in Ecuador and hats are shipped from Ecuador not USA. as well shipping times are completely separate form our needed prep time once your hat is reedy, depending on the difficulty of your order, (when we finish) we will use whatever method you selected. These are custom made hats we need time to prepare and on occasion even custom make from scratch! If the hat is in stock this process happens a couple weeks faster in most cases so we recommend checking inventory to see if we have one already ready to ship if you need it fast! Casey

i was under the impression that the real hats were supple and rolled up and sent in a tube! Please explain.thanks

Perhaps this misconception is more common then i think it is... let me elaborate. Hats can be finished in 2 ways, as a roll-up or as a daily wear hat They can not be both, because the finishing details we put into each hat are quite different. We start out with the same item and finish it for either use, as we describe on the roll-ups page https://www.panamahatsdirect.com/landing/PanamaRollup.php We are happy to accommodate any request but the default we always ship hats is for daily wear for longevity purposes, so what we needed to know from you in a comment or an email is that you wanted a rollup hat, not a daily wear hat and your hat would have been built for that purpose. We never roll up the hat for shipping it in a tube NEVER, if you want to roll it (even our roll up models) that is up to you, but the hat would arrive badly miss shaped after traveling so long in a tube and that would not make a very good fist impression, international shipping is already though enough, no need to make it worse :) But regardless of any problem you have, if you would like us to replace it we certainly can do that for you - just give us a call 1800-876-6956, Casey.

Service was great and wavy brim
Service was great. Kept in touch regularly letting me know every step in the process. Very much appreciated!! Then I received my hat, I was so excited opening up the box...... then there it was MY PANAMA!!! I took it out of the box and put it on and went for a walk. By the time I returned home, the brim was wavy all around the brim..... and unfortunately it still is. I can't not get it to flatten out.... do you have any suggestions?

Vincent, I see you ordered a custom hat with a little larger then standard brim so it takes a little extra work to get the brim to lay the way you want sometimes with brims over 3". and Yes panama hats are very customizable! and shouldn't be to hard to adjust this brim yourself we have a few videos on this at: https://www.panamahatsdirect.com/hat-care.php large Brims can react differently in different humanity conditions i is a natural straw and absorbs or dries out in different regions so that on occasion it needs a little help to lay nicely but with a little effort i am sure it will start working better for you. if not we are still here to help you out we can always add a little more stiffener to your hat for you if you would like it to be less floppy of a brim and hold its shape better Casey

My hat came with a spot under the brim and the brim was not blocked properly.
