The hat itself gets compliments …
The hat itself gets compliments wherever I am, and I do like the weave and ivetall appearance. The black band , however, is fraying at the bow after only a short time, and the horsehair band I purchased as a second band is unusable because it dies not cover the seams connecting the crown to the brim. This just does not look good to me.

let me send you a free leather hat band we have 80+ bands. I have a new Solid black leather one that is Very popular! fits with no stitching since the leather grabs on to the straw naturally! The fastest way to change the look of a hat is to change the band!

The hat is wonderful
The hat is wonderful, however be prepared to wait, it took several months longer than was suggested for the hat to arrive.

unfortunately some custom made hats take longer then we expect .... they are hand made after all :) and quality control and customer requests sometimes means we have to reject certain hats we specifically sent to have woven for an order. Some orders for odd hat sizes or finely woven or in this case a Larger brim, can be hard to estimate the overall time. If you need a hat fast we recommend finding something in our vast inventory of reedy to ship hats. ... but having sad that most agree it is worth the Waite if you want something custom built for you. Excellent hat
Excellent hat, superb quality at reasonable price, excellent service and attention from these folks. Only complaint: the hat box from Ecuador was too short, so hat showed up in USA slightly scrunched, which was correctable but mildly annoying.

Nice looking Panamas and affordable as well....I have a couple I wear. Even the lower grades are nice...Nice choice of ribbon bands also...
