Paint by CanvasReviews of paintbycanvas.com

I ordered four custom kits from this company. The first turned out the best the other two were still quite good. All three were the 36 colour option. I did buy better brushes after the first as the brushes sent with the kit are not very good. The fourth order was a 48 colour custom order; more expensive but I had been satisfied with the first 3. The kits are not cheap, even with their almost constant 15% off. The 4th kit was “off”; as soon as I saw the colour palette it was obvious. This kit was nothing like the first three, which were as expected. After contacting the company and asking if they could replace or refund the item, it became clear that despite my repeated orders and satisfaction with the previous orders, that my opinion that this one was off just didn’t matter. I didn’t want my money back…. I actually just wanted to complete the painting in the colour palette that it should have been in. Given the time it takes to complete these projects, I won’t even waste the time on this one. I keep getting repeated emails from them, despite advising them they have lost my business. Never again will I order with this company.

I'm a bit unhappy and looking for reassurnace. I am concerned that the Christmas present I ordered advertised to be arriving in time for Christmas... on the 12th December 2025 - now 17 days ago has still not arrived as it on the tracker "In Transit" since the 23rd...   (I've waited until today to post this as the small print on the website says could be up to 16 days in busy seasons) I have emailed to see if this will be coming before NYE? I'm hoping for a refund please as I have had to purchase another present and I have not had any correspondence keeping myself updated on the delay...  I hope this isnt a scam website.      I have left a review on Trustpilot due to the concern this could be a scam I would like some reassurance please.  Can you confirm if it will be coming before the end of the year or are you wishing to confirm a refund? Order #30918 ZC00139474620. DetailsThank you!Laurence Baker

Well, I can’t comment on the item yet because it hasn’t arrived!!!! I purchased it as a Christmas gift, and when I ordered, it stated it would arrive before Christmas. Here it is Christmas Eve, still has not arrived, so I had to run out and purchase a last-minute gift for the recipient. I am not pleased! When I reached out, they noted that I hadn’t selected express shipping so therefore there was nothing they could do. I responded that had it not indicated it would be here in time for Christmas, I would have selected express shipping, even though I did not see that as an option. Totally useless customer service.

Great concept. Whilst delivery was slow it is the quality of the canvas that I struggled with. The surface has a plastic/vinyl feel which means the paint just sits on top without any ‘grip’ and the numbers show through. Customer service response was timely but I was advised “The paint isn’t supposed to fully absorb into the canvas; it stays more on the surface. If a number shows through too much, we recommend applying a second layer of paint once it has dried”. I am trying to do the ‘lifelike’ 48 colour option and it is quite intricate so this canvas finish is just not viable. There was no feedback on advice on return/refund options. I will not buy this product again.

I could not see the numbers on canvas.

When I ordered, there was a drop-down that said “frame”. They did not mean frame but meant stretcher with a mounted canvas. Because of how it was labeled, I did not order a “frame” but assumed it was on a stretcher. I called their customer service and asked how to remedy it, and they said that they could not. I then asked what their stated “100% satisfaction guaranteed” meant and they replied it was only for the painting itself. Some guarantee. I would be wary of this company.
