Our homeschooling family of four (18, 16, 13, and 12) loves this magazine. The photos add to the article information instead of distracting. The content is excellent and interesting. Many issues' topics have been perfect for what we were learning that month - almost as if OYLA had an inside look into what our family was studying! The magazine has tackled a few potentially controversial topics and we have been pleasantly surprised by how the magazine has reported "both sides." For example, electric vehicles. The magazine did an excellent job reporting the hopes for electric vehicles reducing carbon emissions, etc. but also devoted an equal amount of time to the downsides of manufacturing of EVs as well as producing the electricity they run on. Occasionally, the articles are not well written from a grammatical perspective, which is a bit annoying; however, all in all, we are so pleased with the content, layout, and approach that we will overlook the issue.

OYLA is an excellent resource and the fact that it is ad-free is so important. Keep it up!

Honestly, I enjoy this magazine more than my son. There is variety of topics, photos are clear but do not overwhelm the articles, and articles are well-written and understandable. While it is not super important, the paper the magazine is printed on is sturdy, which I like because I save every issue for future reference because the topics are relevant to the world today. It is a high quality product.

My teenagers and I love reading each issue. The articles answer questions that we always wanted to know, but never thought to ask. Love the diversity of subjects covered and the images are intelligent and beautiful. Love this magazine!

My nephews love this magazine. They actually fight over who gets to read it first. It is a bit expensive but well worth it.

I love my OYLA subscription. The topics covered are wide ranging in every area of science/mathematics. The visuals are informative and helpful.

My kids (9 and 11) have been receiving (and reading) OYLAs for almost a year now and we will continue to do so. They are SO excited when a new one arrives in the mail addressed to them and they read them cover to cover They learn SO many new things and teach me and their dad. Just last week, my son took the magazine to school to ask his teacher to explain a math concept in the magazine b/c he didn't quite understand it. His teacher didn't either, but she took him to another math class so they could both dig in and figure out the math concepts in the article together. I love seeing them engage with the content, with no encouragement from their parents.

Tremendously well done. My gifted 8yo has been enjoying this magazine for two years now — and we enjoy it, too. I so appreciate the deep attention to good writing, the serious but accessible treatment of fascinating topics, and the lack of ads and patronizing "kid" fluff.
