Because you're still in the pre-contract phase (searching for a home), we surfaced just one lender we felt was the strongest fit—selected for their exceptional service and competitive rates/products aligned to your scenario. If you've received outreach from multiple lenders, rest assured it is not affiliated with Own Up in any way. This is very likely from trigger leads—where credit bureaus sell your contact info to other lenders after a credit pull. If you've submitted recent applications elsewhere while shopping, that's typically the cause. It's an unfortunate industry practice, but we're glad the Homebuyers Privacy Protection Act (signed in 2025) will prohibit most abusive trigger leads starting March 2026. Once you're under contract, that's the ideal time to aggressively shop multiple lenders and drive the best terms.
