I wouldn’t even give it a one star. DO NOT BUY THE OWLET CAM 2 IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!
Even after going through the effort of setting up a separate WiFi to facilitate the rubbish camera connection it drops EVERY DAY!!! IT has dropped for the past 4 weeks. Diabolical when this is a tool to keep your child safe

Complete customer service failure. Left my premature baby unprotected.
I purchased the Owlet dream duo weeks before my son was born, looking for peace of mind. My son unexpectedly arrived early at 36 weeks with Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN), a serious breathing condition, and spent 8 days in the NICU.When we were finally discharged, I desperately needed this device to monitor his breathing so I could sleep. Instead, the product completely failed to set up. I spent hours watching YouTube and TikTok tutorials trying to troubleshoot it myself because Owlet’s actual support was useless.I contacted Owlet Customer Care on 21 May 2026. For nearly three weeks (up until June 12th), I have been trapped in an endless loop with an automated bot. It repeatedly asks for the exact same information, gives the same generic troubleshooting advice, and demands screenshots that I have already provided multiple times. There is zero human resolution. This expensive device is completely worthless if it cannot even be set up. It has caused nothing but immense frustration, irritation, and sleepless nights spent constantly panicking over my son's breathing. He is currently wearing nothing because this device does not work. I absolutely do not recommend this product. Save your money and look into Nanit or Angelcare instead.

Die Bedienung der App ist eine absolute Katastrophe.

Don’t By Owlet - I rarely write negative reviews
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Owlet has been so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn other parents, particularly those outside the United States.
The reality is that birth and the first few months of a newborn’s life are stressful enough. Products like the Owlet Smart Sock are marketed as providing peace of mind and helping parents sleep easier knowing their baby is being monitored. Unfortunately, our experience has been the exact opposite.
The biggest issue has been connectivity. For a premium-priced product, Owlet has failed to deliver something as fundamental as reliable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. We have spent countless hours troubleshooting, resetting devices, reinstalling apps, reconnecting networks, and following support instructions, only to end up with the same unresolved problems.
What concerns me most is that if a company cannot get basic connectivity right, it raises serious questions about the engineering and reliability of the technology that parents are expected to trust when monitoring their newborn children.
The support experience has been equally disappointing. Despite our son now being one month old and repeated attempts to obtain meaningful assistance, there has been no clear resolution, no urgency, and no replacement offered. We have simply been left waiting while the product remains unusable.
Owlet was once viewed as an innovative startup focused on helping parents. Today, it feels more like a corporation focused on protecting revenue than supporting customers. The passion for customer success appears to have been replaced by corporate processes and profit-driven decision-making.
At this point, I would rather Owlet keep the money than continue wasting our time. What should have been a product that reduced anxiety has instead become another source of frustration during an already demanding period of parenthood.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Owlet to parents outside the United States. There are alternative baby monitoring solutions that have built strong reputations over many years and, most importantly, work reliably when you need them.
Owlet had the opportunity to turn a dissatisfied customer into an advocate. Instead, they have turned an advocate into someone who will actively advise others to look elsewhere.
Very disappointed. As AI Product Development Manager I strongly advise don’t buy the Owlet

Wifi not connecting, customer service ghosted me for no apparent reason
We had an issue connecting our dream sock to our wifi at home (for some reason it disconnected after we had been using for 2 months without issues), so I started a chat with their AI support which was not able to fix the problem so they transferred me to a real person. Vincent was initially pleasant and seemingly very eager to help - about 5 minutes later after he transferred me to an email chain and out of the chat, and long story short he eventually just ghosted me. I was not disrespectful and felt like I was being very cooperative following every instruction he was sending me but the issue was not being fixed and seemed to be getting worse as my dream sock then disconnected from the app entirely. I simply stated, word for word "this seems like i am only going backwards and is getting quite frustrating" - no cussing, no attacking, just calmly expressing my frustration as this was 11pm and I had been working on this now for over an hour between AI and Vincent. Vincent did not respond after that, I asked for a follow up to see what else I can try and the next day I still had no response. I am incredibly disappointed with their customer service - I would understand if I was being rude to him why he would ghost me like that, but given that wasn't the case it really got my gears grinding that for a product designed around baby safety that the support is so incredibly lacking . 0 stars for Vincent himself if I were able to do so. Shame on you Vincent and Owlet customer service for allowing such neglect.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE "Customer Service" and FALSE ADVERTISING
Contacted the company via email, IM chat on their site, google review, trust pilot, google reviews, and instagram. Their "customer service" is ABSOUTELY USELESS. It has been 3 weeks and BBB just closed my case as "unanswered" because Owlet never even responded. No wonder they have so many lawsuits right now. All their "customer service" is is generic automated responses...and when you get an actual person (maybe)....alll they do is pretty much say they cant help OR they try wasting your time with "let me talk to another team" about this. Thats what someone named Ezra told me in the chat and instead of wasting time, i submittted my issue to via email to them and Ezra emailed back saying they cant help. LIES after LIES after LIES

The worst experience you can imagine…
The worst experience you can imagine with a young baby. Both the sock and camera are borderline un-usable. The sock base (which makes the noise) doesn’t have Bluetooth strong enough for it to be in our room & therefore stays in the babies room, waking them when it does inevitably disconnect from Bluetooth (not a WiFi issue). The cam on the other hand is even worse & has major issues connecting to WiFi even when within a couple of metres of the router.
You’ll spend all your time trying to reconnect or resettle your baby with these products.
I can say this strongly enough, do not buy under any circumstances. The most expensive products in the baby monitoring market with the absolute worst performance.

Lack Of Help
I am filing this complaint because I have been trying to resolve a return issue with Owlet since May 14, but I still have not received the help needed to return their merchandise.
My order was shipped in two separate packages. After receiving the items, I started the return process within my return window. However, UPS mistakenly sent the return packages to the wrong location, causing them to be returned back to me instead of Owlet.
I contacted UPS, and they told me they could not issue new labels or a refund because they are not the owner of the merchandise. UPS advised me to contact Owlet for replacement return labels.
I contacted Owlet on May 14 and requested two new return labels for the two packages. Since then, I have followed up multiple times. I was told by Vincent that someone would assist me within 24 hours, but I never received help. I later contacted Owlet again and was told I would receive assistance within an hour, but that also did not happen.
I was then told the issue was assigned to a manager and needed approval from Headquarters before labels could be sent. This has been very frustrating because I am only trying to return Owlet’s merchandise within my return window.
I currently have both packages ready to ship back. I am willing to provide photos, drop-off receipts, tracking information, or any proof needed. I am also willing to wait until Owlet receives, inspects, and verifies the items before processing my refund.
I am not asking for a refund before Owlet receives the merchandise. I am only asking for the labels needed to return the items properly.
My requested resolution is for Owlet to provide two new return labels, honor my return window since I contacted them within the return period, allow me to ship the products back, and process my refund after the items are received and verified.
