The only one good thing is the quality of picture. The functionality of the app is very poor. Especially if you are a secondary user. Picture can take a long while to load, sometimes it takes multiple openings and closings of the app. Full screen is almost impossible to load. Notifications are delayed and you can sometimes hear your baby crying, before the app notifies you. This is not a WiFi issue, i wish i read more reviews before purchasing, as those issues were mentioned numerous times. Another thing is, that it is only camera that we have purchased, it does feel that there could be some additional features added up to this baby monitor like a soft music or white noise,it feels like this product is not worth the money unfortunately. I also do not understand how an app of such basic design can only show you temperature if farnheits with no way of changing it to Celsius. Surely it would have been an easy fix for the Owlet company...

Disappointed in the cam 2. App constantly freezes so I cannot actually see my baby, I have to keep closing it down and re opening it which takes about 7 minutes in which I just get up and go to my babies room. Happy with the image quality especially at night time but again it freezes and isn’t moving in real time with my baby so you think he looks as though he’s still sleeping but really the camera just isn’t working in real time. Not worth the money and wouldn’t recommend it

I was very hopeful with this purchase. I purchased the first camera and it seemed to work fine. A little bit of lag and it always reported a fair connection on wifi though other devices in the room did not have any issues. I purchased a second one for another room and it never worked properly. It would rarely connect on the app and only would if you were standing next to it. I ended up returning the second one and would have returned the first only it was outside of return period. The current one you need to literally be in the same room to get the video to start. Not sure why but I could be on the same network in a different room getting 160 MBPS down and still the camera will not connect. I have reset the camera many times, I have reinstalled the app, and I have updated the camera...it still has connectivity issues all the time. ALL THE TIME. This camera's wifi card is limited to 2.4 ghz band and seems to struggle with routers that support 5 ghz band even though the camera is not on the 5 ghz band. Products like this need to adapt or die... my guess is it will die. This is a poorly made product and not worth the price tag.

We have had the Owlet sock for approx 1 year. In this time we have had recurring connectivity issues where the base station loses its connection with WiFi. To fix this I have to go through the laborious process of changing settings and re-syncing the devices. I have found that the main issue is that it can only connect to the 2.4Ghz WiFi band. In 2020 this sock should be absolutely compatible with 5.0Ghz WiFi. I do not believe it’s a router issue on my end, because the sock and base station is the only household device we are having issues with. For $480 we expect better. However when everything is connected, the sock works as intended.
