Wish I’d read reviews before buying. Definitely the worst most unreliable baby cam out there - and probably one of the most expensive

The dream sock is an incredibly poor product, and the customer service is poor too. I am onto sensor number 3 now after every sensor keeps breaking and sending placement alarms to my phone constantly. I can’t even use the product anymore. Nobody from customer service actually wants to help you with the issue and asks you to do the same thing over and over again. I have dozens of emails with them and nobody will actually help me!! The app is so glitchy too, says the sock is getting readings on one phone (when it’s on the base), then my partners phone tells us the sensor is on base.its also incredibly slow. I’m all for these monitoring devices but use your money on a different brand like eufy or sense u, I sure wish I did!

The worst tech imaginable almost impossible to simply connect the sock to your phone. Straps loosen very easily making it fall off at least once a night so the alarm goes off. I cannot stress enough how horrible the tech is. The fact in this day and age this sock cannot connect to the WiFi without significant struggle is insane. Please fix this especially for the parents who travel often it’s a literal nightmare

Bought a smart Sock 1 back in 2020. What a fantastic product, have use piece of mind during the early years with our two daughters. Loved the milestones tip that you would get each week... Here we are 5 years on and on our third kid I try to set the sock up again, only to find out that they have discontinued app support to force you to buy the newest version. Absolutely unacceptable, £250 odd quid to now have a device that has half the functionality, the app was one of the main selling points! Imagine buying a phone to be told in 5 years you won't be able to access any apps! I won't spend another penny with Owlet, why would I buy another device to have the same happen...fool me once and all that. They should upgrade the sock to at least the smart Sock 2 if THEY decided to stop support... Ticket 2116861 if anyone at Owlet wants to see what bad customer services looks like! Shocking. We bought a smart sock for our first kid in 2020. Here we are with kid number 4, sock was working fine when baby was first born. Baby is now sick so we decided to turn on the smart sock and monitor her information. Lo and behold the company had turned off support for the sock and is forcing us to buy their latest and greatest. They are offering us a $100 discount but this is absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this company or you will also get screwed over. They had an issue with FDA. They should be offering me a new system free of charge, not a new system for $200.

Owlet sock - 1st one broke just outside the two year warranty. No help or discount from customer services. 2nd one broke after 15 months. Customer services state that replacement socks only have a one year warranty despite the two year warranty on all products noted on their website. I asked for a link to where it says replacements are only 1 year - "It is not listed on the website any longer but, the policy is that it is 1 year from the date of purchase for replacement parts". I've asked for a copy of the policy. Pathetic. Avoid.

I bought the Owlet camera and sock expecting a reliable product for my newborn. From day one, the camera was defective: the USB port is loose, causing it to reboot and disconnect with the slightest movement. It even emits an electrical buzzing noise — clearly a hardware issue. I contacted customer service thinking they would help. Instead, I was met with the worst support experience I’ve ever had. They kept ignoring the real issue and forced me into an endless loop of pointless troubleshooting: speed tests, app logouts, RSSI checks, screenshots — even after I sent them a video clearly showing the defect. Each time, they moved the goalpost (now asking for tests on 2.4G instead of 5G), refusing to take accountability or offer a replacement. The support script was more important to them than solving the problem — even after escalating to a so-called supervisor. Avoid this company at all costs. The product is unreliable and the customer service is unworthy of any brand that claims to care about babies’ safety.
