David, We apologize that you were not told this cabin has been updated. The owner tries to update our cabins as often as he can and as they are needed. He likes to enclose the loft upstairs so the bedroom and game area are larger and more comfortable. We do hope you will come back and stay with us and we recommend you calling the office so we can recommend cabins to you and make sure you are getting exactly what you want. Rhonda, We are very sorry that you had to deal with loud noise from a different cabin during your stay. We do hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your stay with us. We would like to take a moment and explain our walk in rate (24 hr special). We do have a 24 hour special if you book the cabin within 24 hours of arriving but you have to ask for the special. The special is $89/$99 Sunday- Thursday for any 1 or 2 bedroom cabin and $129 for Friday and Saturdays. This special is only good for 3 days of your stay, The special is not something we offer when you are first reserving a cabin with us, it is our way of giving a discount rate to returning customers. We do apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. We do hope you will come back and stay with us and if you are in the time frame for the walk in special be sure to ask for it! We appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

Destiny, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay at Bearly Awake. We appreciate you giving us your feedback so we can have our maintenance personnel and contractors team up to resolve this issue. We also apologize for the response you were given when you called the office to report this issue. We do have some problems during showers & thunderstorms but we can't resolve the issue until the cabin is vacant. Our office staff should have informed you of this. We are glad that you enjoyed the view and we hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay as well.

Dear Jessica, We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. Did you report any of these issues when you were here? I see that you stayed during the holidays so it may have been difficult to get companies to come fix any issues with the internet and cable but we surely would try everything we could for you when it was reported. We do hope you will reconsider staying with us in the future. We do have lower rates in our off season.

Scott, We do apologize that the advertisement for that cabin said it was a gas fireplace. Most of our cabins have been switched to all electric now. However, we do have some cabins in the Country Pines Resort that have wood burning fireplaces. If you would like to review any of those cabins they will say Country Pines after the cabin name but they are still listed on www.outrageouscabins.com. We hope that you will consider coming back to stay with us.

Corky, We are disappointed to hear that your stay was not what you expected. We did just hire a full time maintenance man so we will no longer have any issues such as light bulbs being out and the dryer not working. The $89-$129 is our walk in special. Our walk in special is for the cabins we have left to sell and you have to book the cabin either the day before you want to stay or even the day of check in to get those rates. We do have the lowest rates in Starr Crest so we hope that you will consider staying with us again.

Stephanie, We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your cabin and that not all the game systems worked. We have reported these issues to the company that rents the games to us but they are very backed up since the owner of the company has passed away and his son is now trying to run the company. As this is very frustrating for us and our guests we are trying to let them get back on their feet as that is how we would want to be treated as well. We hope that you will give us a second chance and when calling to make your reservation please ask our staff of recommendations of cabins.
