Fit and finish are top notch! The items purchased were as described and fit perfectly. They are made well and I can't wait to try them out this weekend on my backpacking trip. You have to appreciate that OV is out testing their gear and improving it all the time. They know what works! I have had their Altitude sun hoodie for several years now and it is one of my favorite pieces of gear. You can just tell they spent time designing it and making it a great piece of trail clothing. It is super versatile! I know that the pieces I just received will also be the same way! Thanks OV for making quality gear!

I absolutely love the products produced by this company. There is so much research that really makes sense in their final products. I have two of their products for my big 4 and waiting on their release of the new trecking pole tent to complete my gear.

The Shadowlight Carbon 60 Backpack is awesome. I didn't have time for an overnight trip before the "try it before you buy it" runs out, so I filled it up with my usual 5 day gear and a bear canister,(I live in the same county most of Yosemite Wilderness is in, Tuolumne), and took it out on a 12 mile dayhike. It felt like I had on a daypack. Only my 67 y.o. feet were feeling the miles. It's ride is so comfortable. Easy to use belt pulls. The front zipper makes it easy to get to the canister/food, since its not in the liner bag. I love the upper side pockets for easy access of an extra layer or rain coat in one and first aid plus water filter in the other. The lower pockets do hold two 1 l smart bottles on one side, the other side holds my chair and a plastic whiskey bottle. The large hip pockets work as advertised, finally some that work one handed. The total pack weight I usually carry is 25-35 lbs depending on the amout of food needed, up to 7 days. Two and a half lbs lighter now with this pack. Got the regular torso and the small hipbelt. I'm 5'6", 155 lbs. I'm going to keep it!
