The sensation difference between feet is actually quite common, especially when there is more fluid build-up on one side. The fluid itself can act as a barrier, reducing the conductivity of the electrical impulse through the skin. This does not necessarily mean the left pad is defective — it may simply need a little more time as the circulation improves and the swelling begins to reduce. A few things that may help: make sure the conducting gel is applied generously and evenly on the left foot, ensure the pad is lying flat with full contact, and try gradually increasing the intensity on the left side if comfortable. As the swelling decreases with consistent use, you should begin to feel the sensation more clearly. For foot neuropathy, a gentle, consistent session of 20–30 minutes daily tends to work best — avoid very high intensities initially as the nerves can be more sensitive. **Leaving the unit on the mat:** It is perfectly fine to leave the unit connected to the mat when not in use. You only need to detach it when charging. To extend the life of the connecting buttons, simply press them in gently rather than pulling at an angle. **Charging:** Connect the charging cable directly to the controller unit — no need to remove it from the mat for this.
