Absolutely horrible customer service. To repeatedly charge somebody who has requested to have their account canceled is fraud and scandalous. You should allow people to cancel their subscriptions from their account, especially since you have all the login verification needed in security needed for account access. I shouldn't have to wait for one of your scam artists to call me to cancel my subscription. This is absolutely ridiculous

If there was an alternate service I could use, even if it's was $300 a month, I would absolutely use them. OnStar sucks more than I can articulate. If there is any way whoever reads this can go through life without OnStar, please do.

Honestly, I love that I can start my vehicle from the app and also check my vehicle location. However the hotspot is absolute garbage and I have two different vehicles that I used OnStar in and both hotspots are terrible. The hotspot in my opinion is not worth it. I believe the basic plan does not have the hotspot which could potentially be worth it. I also have a problem with the prices increasing. Maybe later down the road I will get OnStar again but as of right now, I am canceling my subscription.

I called for road service and was told they couldn't give me an approximate time when they could get someone there. Spoke to a gentleman and he said possibly an hour Not acceptable to! I pay more than enough for Onstar! I will cancel my account Not worth it?

I signed up for a $6.40 rate during December 2025 for the connect plan for the app in my truck. This price was guaranteed for a year. In June 2026 I wanted to add Wi-Fi to my truck. I asked the representative multiple times if I was able to get my $6.40 rate back after I canceled the Wi-Fi within a month and she assured me that she could do that. After I just called and canceled my Wi-Fi she could not offer that service back to me. A sales person would not offer that price back to me. And her supervisor would not offer that service back to me. I highly recommend that you do not trust OnStar in any promises that they make to you because they will not live up to it. It’s a shame that they wouldn’t discount me a couple of bucks for a few more months. I hope losing a customer was worth it and now this customer is going to everything I can on social media and the Internet to provide bad reviews to onstar. I hope it was worth it on star.

⭐☆☆☆☆ OnStar answers quickly, but the service isn't truly 24/7 for EV users. This has happened to me four times while traveling. After asking multiple questions, I'm told the EV department is closed with no after-hours support. They simply reset the signal, which the main OnStar representatives should be able to do. The connectivity issue is never permanently fixed, so the same problem keeps happening.

I had a great experience resolving an issue with my account today. I want to highly commend Val Shalan in the Member Loyalty department. Val was incredibly helpful, professional, and ensured my problem was completely fixed. Terrific customer service like this is rare, and Val truly went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of as a loyal member. Thank you
