The equipment I purchased was missing…
The equipment I purchased was missing important wiring cabling to connect the UX120-017M and the T-VER-E50B2. I would have liked to know that this would not be included, as it was never identified to me that any equipment, especially essential wiring connection would not be included.

We apologize about our miscommunication with you regarding the need for wire. We should have let you know that by changing the quote to the lead set with alligator clips, the connecting wire would not be included. Most customers typically choose not to purchase the wire from us as most electricians have it in their stock. The software NEEDS to have much more…
The software NEEDS to have much more customization options. Need to be able to maintain a default setting so that all the detached, attached coupling columns don't download every time without having click on them every time, customized header labeled (truely) - can add your own names but then HOBO feels the need to attach additional stuff to them. This additional stuff plays havoc inside a database. The Windows 10 driver need to be fixed - continue to have to unplug and plug cable in to re-connect to sensor. Windows 10 has been out more than enough time to get this figured out. Batch processing (and reg processing) - need to be able to keep the system in UTC without having to change computer times. A better file system that allows command line to access the raw files. I better stop now..

Didn't ship in accordance with paid…
Didn't ship in accordance with paid shipping expectations. Required additional parts for connectivity not fully explained during sale and seemingly upsold software I did not need.

We try our best to highlight the needed equipment in the right places on our website, but obviously we fell short of making this an easy purchase for you. As a result of your feedback, we conducted a website review of the products that require such additional items, and have made several changes in order to make the required items more visible. We also have sales and customer service staff here to help answer questions and make sure you order the correct equipment, but we agree that the website should be clear enough to minimize the issues you encountered, without having to call us. HW Good, SW Bad.
Despite technical support from Onset, the Java-based Hobo software refuses to run on my Win7 64-bit computer, apparently due to conflicts with Java library files installed by other applications. The logger itself is more than adequate, but the software *required to operate it* is fickle.

I didn't like how the shipment was …
I didn't like how the shipment was handled. I requested shipment to be packed in two different packages since they were to go to two different countries and if that was not possible, this should have been communicated on time. now its too late and the shipment is still being held by customs.

Not happy with onset as they …
Not happy with onset as they discontinue their simple less expensive loggers and replace with fancy expensive loggers with features we don’t need.

We use customer feedback as a critical component of our product development process, and any features we add have been asked for by customers, and vetted through our sales, engineering and product marketing teams. We try very hard to get it right. It has always been our goal to make products that are as simple as possible for what they do. We strive to balance features with ease of use, reliability, and cost. Of course there are always trade-offs. We realize that our loggers are used by a wide variety of people for a wide variety of applications. I did not see any tech support cases related to your name in our system. Was there a specific issue that caused your frustration? Regardless, we welcome your feedback. Sent loggers/sensors that were not compatible
Filled my order for loggers and sensors without telling me they are not compatible. Granted, they sent what I requested, could have saved me a lot of trouble by catching my misunderstanding.

Dear Pete, Thanks for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We do try to catch incompatible items on orders, but in this case we missed it. I have discussed this with our Sales Manager as learning opportunity. We are also working on ways for the website to flag incompatible items, in an effort to catch this type of issue before web orders ship. Given the large number of products, this is a challenging effort but it is underway. We are always open to suggestions to improve our processes, and I welcome any feedback in that regard.
