Very misleading
Very misleading. They let you pick any state for online drivers ed, but they aren't certified in every state. So you pay the money do all the work and then they call it "volunteer education" when you call. There should be a disclaimer when you pick your state stating that they aren't certified, but sadly there is no such thing. You get nothing but a disappointed 15 year old who has to take a state certified course all over again through someone else. You state in your reply it is in large bold print, but there is no disclaimer in large bold print. I called your company and the lady basically laughed at me and said we volunteered to take the course.
Response from Online Drivers EdAug 23, 2019
Let me start by apologizing for the confusion, however, since you submitted this review anonymously I am unable to follow-up with you and to confirm that your child used our school. In states where we are not approved, we provide clear information on both the State webpage and in large bold print on the registration page, immediately prior to the student information entry fields, (see copy below). Webpage- "The state of Alabama does not yet have an official approval process for online drivers education. You can still take this course for an insurance discount or for voluntary purposes. You will not receive DMV credit for taking this course." Registration page- "Note: Voluntary Course helps you prepare for your driving test - You will not receive DMV, MVD or DOT credit."
