Horrible SERVICE! You DO NOT want to use their services. THEY ARE VERY UNORGANIZED. They created second case numbers on multiple cases due to their incompetence. They promise resolution and keep you on the phone for HOURS to get nothing resolved. OVER ALL THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY EVER. You have been WARNED! Don't bother wasting your time. OnCall Legal is so much better.

If you really need the job done- hire someone else.
Our company ordered 2 day service and uploaded our documents. One Legal had 12 days to make up to 5 attempts to serve. I checked our account every day and there were no updates. After 7 days I called. I was told that service had been attempted and Jeanne said she would "escalate" our order. 3 days later our account was updated. Service was attempted to the wrong address. I called and corrected the address. The Rep, Grace, contacted the process server while I was on hold. I was told that service would be attempted again. I reminded Grace that there are only 2 days left for this to get served. They did not make any other attempts at service. The phone reps were nice, but that doesn't matter a whole lot when the company doesn't do their job.

Takes a month to post a payment
Takes a month to post a payment, when they serve documents I often need to inquire as to where my proof of service is as it can take upwards of 5-7 days (they state 3) for it to be returned after they have completed it.

One legal is a rip-off I would not…
One legal is a rip-off I would not recommend this company to anyone. I was directed by the county clerk's office to go under e-file tx.gov where I could amend a divorce decree free of charge and
unfortunately I end up with one legal. After countless emails and phone calls to one legal explaining in detail of what I was trying to accomplish I end up paying $50 for a document retrieval that was an error and they refuse to refund my card back not to mention I never even received any documents even if that's what I was trying to order. Once it was realized that the order place was indeed an error the order was to be cancelled the account was to be shut down and the card was to be removed from their site. Ms. Gonzalez was no help and she was very very rude. I'm out of $50 yet they told me that the order was on hold because they were unsure what I was trying to do even after continuous explaning and explaning I even called and asked for the phone calls to be reviewed as well as all of the emails that was sent out to Ms.Gonzalez at one legal nothing happened except a $50 charge
Some of the emails :
If you are trying to amend your case, you may need to FILE the proper paperwork. One Legal CAN file documents for you, but you would need to place a filing order. I’m not sure exactly what you are trying to do but the order you placed is for retrieval – to obtain documents only. This order is not to submit any paperwork to amend a case and we are not the court so we do not update dockets either
Please let me know if you would like me to do anything further. If not, I can close your order.
I have NEVER encountered a company that clearly see that if it appears a potential customer was clearly confused and not understanding exactly what was ordered and asked for guidance to be told basically it's your problem not ours deal with it

UNTRUSTWORTHY!!!!
this company tricks you into believe you are paying 1 price then proceeds to send you a bill for 4times that amount. and when you try to speak to someone regarding this they call you a liar. I know what I agreed to pay for and it was $40.00 and Bam my bill turns out to be $155! they proceed to tell me they don't offer a process service for $40 which is a complete lie. I would have NEVER agreed to pay $155. don't trust this company unless you can afford to be ripped off!

Hi Mary,
I'm sorry to hear that you feel that we are untrustworthy. You can view our pricing publicly at this link: https://www.onelegal.com/pricing-deadlines/. The only time our Service of Process is $40 is when it is service on a registered agent (CT or CSC) -- within 24 hours. I hope that this clarifies and if you found $40 listed anywhere else on our site or platform, please do let us know by emailing [email protected].
Kindest regards,

WORST SERVICE EVER!
This company will charge you twice for THEIR mistake and then refuse to talk to you about it, or even acknowledge it. The employees are not well trained and are incompetent and have no clue of legal process or what to do in any situation. If you want your pleadings to not be filed properly, use them. If you want two case numbers for one case, use One Legal. If you want to pay for awful service, use One Legal.
If you love sitting on the phone over an our waiting for customer service, use this service.
ONE LEGAL IS THE WORST LEGAL SERVICE!

The absolute WORST most cumbersome and…
The absolute WORST most cumbersome and ineffective efiling company on line. excessively long wait times to have even the most basic question answered. Not to mention ongoing technical support issues and problems on line with efiling. This company is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Unfortunately, the Court doesn't allow any other efiling company for San Diego.

Paying high prices for below average service.
I placed an order to have a court document retrieved. I never got the document back until 6 days later, the afternoon before the hearing. Had they sent a court runner down there and physically asked for the court file -- which is what I assume their service provides -- I would have gotten my order in a timely manner. 6 days to have a document retrieved from a readily accessible case file is unacceptable.
When I called customer service to inquire about my order on day 4, they assured me that my order would be ready later that day or the next day. If so, I would've had enough time then to file a response. I received nothing on day 4 or day 5, not even a phone call explaining why.
Had I known OneLegal doesn't have runners physically go down to the courthouse and specifically ask for my particular file, I would have never requested this service from them.
Filing deadlines are sensitive and with the money they charged me (over $109 to pull a 7 page document), I expected less stress and aggravation from this company. This isn't the first time they messed up an order but it's certainly the last -- I won't be using OneLegal again and with the number of legal service companies out there, I suggest you don't either.
Edit: The case number that I provided was not invalid. Check the case number I provided when I placed the original order and the number I provided when your staff called, it's the exact same. Not being able to pull up the case number is your staff's fault, not mine.
Regarding being at the "mercy of the court", I've personally pulled files before myself. You go to the court window and ask the clerk for the file. The clerk gives you the file and you ask the clerk to make copies of whatever you need. That's it. Had your staff done what I just mentioned, they would've been able to pull the file on the same day even despite the delay on Monday.
What I don't appreciate is blaming the customer and not taking responsibility for sub-par service. For the $109 that your company charged, I could've just paid somebody else (likely less) to get me the files the same day as opposed to four business days later.

Hi Stan,
We’re sorry that we did not meet your expectations regarding your retrieval order. We take all feedback very seriously and strive to do all we can to ensure that our customers are satisfied. That is why, after investigating your comments, we reached out to you via phone to try to put matters right.
Regarding your court document retrieval, the order was placed on a Friday at 11:25am, which is after the deadline of 10am. We are closed on the weekends, so there is no one to go to court at that time. On Monday morning, at approximately 8:50am, our branch office reached out to you regarding an invalid case number. You called back at 11:50am to provide additional details. At noon, the copy order was placed at court by one of our court runners – we do physically go to the courthouse and ask for the particular files needed. On Tuesday, you called our customer support department to inquire the status of your order and we let you know that we were waiting for the court to provide the documents. On Thursday, your order was completed at 12:16pm.
While we strive to complete court retrieval orders as quickly as we can, it is important to note that we are at the mercy of the court in regard to copy requests. Our runner pulls the file and then must place an order with the records clerk who makes copies for us. It is the court that sets turnaround time for copies and it varies based on their workload.

Lisa, One Legal
