Awful Experience: Deactivated Without Explanation and Ignored
I registered on OneForma (operated by Centific) as a freelancer and was in the process of applying for projects when my account was suddenly deactivated on June 24, 2026, citing "suspicious activities" with no further explanation. I contacted the account review team multiple times over the course of nearly two weeks (June 24, 26, 30, and July 2), providing documentation to explain a name discrepancy between my OneForma account (professional name) and my Payoneer account (legal name). I also clarified that I had briefly used a VPN for security purposes without knowing it was prohibited, and that I have never used multiple accounts, proxies, or bots. Despite all of this, I received nothing but one automated reply. No human response, no explanation, no resolution. To make matters worse, I received an invitation to complete a certification during this period — an opportunity I was unable to pursue due to the inactive status of my account. The lack of communication and transparency is deeply disappointing. Freelancers deserve to be treated with basic respect and given clear reasons when their accounts are affected. I hope Centific improves its support system for the many freelancers who depend on this platform. --------- Update (July 7): OneForma replied to this review within three days, whereas four emails to their account review team over two weeks went completely unanswered. I will follow up via email as suggested, and I sincerely hope the same level of urgency will be applied there
Response from OneFormaJul 7, 2026
Hi Rei, thank you for taking the time to share this — we're truly sorry to read about your experience, and we completely understand how disheartening it is to be left without a clear response after reaching out repeatedly. You've made a fair point about communication and transparency, and it's feedback we take to heart. Just to explain a little: account flags for suspicious activity are automated security checks, and things like VPN use or a name mismatch between a profile and a payment account can sometimes trigger them, even entirely unintentionally. Where that happens, our Account Review team are the only ones who can carry out a proper manual review and reassess the case — and we're sorry the wait on that has felt like silence. We'd genuinely like to help make sure your case gets the human review you're asking for. If you're open to it, please send us a DM with your registered email and we'll do our best to help move things along. Thank you again for raising this so thoughtfully — it's the kind of feedback that helps us do better.
