Good compensation and reduced taxes in Pakistani market. Employee benefits like OPD, IPD available. Food and Transport on house for internal employees. Terrible culture. Zero accountability and ownership of failures on leadership's part. Decisions are made overnight. The CEO or the Cofounder have a sudden whim and wake up to make those changes in the company. Decision making involves zero consultation of teams or their heads which makes it worse. Typical Pakistani founders who want to have people saying yes to every ask and decision of theirs. CEO is average, gets inspired by other companies very easily due to his inferiority complex and doesn't even think twice whether what they are doing is relevant to his company or not. While Cofounder is a difficult person and is barely concerned with well being of employees or the company. He wants people saying yes to him all the time and not give any alternate opinions. The third founder is usually in a hole of his own and whenever he comes out of that he messes the processes even more. Intelligent guy but no where to be found usually. Stay in that hole man. Internal procedures and policies are haphazard and there is no cohesion. HR will roll out changes with half the org not being aware. Never seen an HR team managing IT inventory. Employees now need to email HR for a silly AAA battery of their mouse!! Yeah its that insane. HR doesn't send compensation letters and contracts on time. Lots of issues with Peru contracts in the past too. They are becoming notorious for not honoring their compensation plans as well. They have had 5 Marketing heads come and go in 2024-2026. 1 Head of Sales, Head of Customer Success, Head of Marketplace, Head of Delivery, Head of HR, Associate Director of HR, Director Marketing leave. 1 Head of product, 2 heads of marketplace, 1 Head of Sales, Manager of Marketing, Head of Talent Development, Manager of Talent Development along with 20 other employees fired. ALL OF THIS HAPPENED IN A SPAN OF 12 MONTHS!! Yeah thats how bad it is!! This company will pay you higher than the market rate and hire you fast but trust me they'll fire you faster. There is no accountability and the KPIs are non existent. The poor teams that do have KPIs are the ones which don't make any sense. Their CEO and Cofounder love talking about AI but in Pakistan they aren't able to disburse salaries on time and every month salaries are received by 7th. They hired a CFO who God knows fixed what but now has been awarded another business unit to manage while Pakistani employees suffer the salary delays. Peru suffers delays as well. How do they compensate for such a toxic culture? By throwing parties or having events every now and then and posting on socials. Its a facade! Their HR manager loves to observe who takes how much breaks at work but won't spend an hour to fix their broken opd claims process or how terrible people feel. While his boss is a different story. Guy claims to be a sales person with degree in HR and thinks he can manage HR. Not one employee initiative done under him. He comes from SnP which does employee surveys and well being stuff. How many employee surveys have been done by him at Edge? Worst part is how they have fired people in the last 12 months. Its like the CEO has lost his brain and is listening to his 2-3 yes men who are running the show for him. It is understanable that he is frustrated that their sales numbers suck and they have a stunted growth as a company but he needs to realize its his fault and his leaders fault. Firing front line employees or their managers won't fix your problem. If you have a stable job don't change it for Edge! Ask your Finance, HR, CS, Sales, Marketing, Product and Engineering leadership why things haven't changed with all the firings you all have been complacent with? Ask yourselves that too Founders! Stop listening to the 2-3 people you listen to CEO! Your cofounder is an unpleasant individual – hopefully you know it by first hand experience now and you will learn about your finance guy too, your CS guy too who is a passer by, your marketing person too who will work on anything but marketing, your sales leader too who is your family member and sales are still in shambles, she is just good at excuses and optics and you fall for it every time like a naive person. Think for yourself and ask why isn't your company growing even with all the firings? All the people who voluntarily left, still nothing changed why?
