So excited to get this product for Xmas. Very expensive so had as gift. I'm glad to see other comments about hair. I was expecting amazing things but my hair is like bloody straw. I'm shocked and extremely disappointed. May stop using it

Ruined my hair
I tried this product stupidly on the recommendation of the Salon Services staff. My hair was absolutely fine and now it is like candy floss. There is a coating on my hair I can’t get off and my hair has dried and become frizzy. Horrible product and really expensive! Not happy at all to have been fooled. i will see what Salon Sevices say about returning the two products I bought at £75!!! £75 is nothing to me if it is a good product but I have paid this for my hair to look terrible now

I had a colour and treatment and my hair looked great until I washed it myself. Now its like candy floss.
Very expensive way to ruin your hair.

Olaplex destroyed my hair
Olaplex destroyed my hair. They have marketed this as the most fantastic product, but it is just the worst product. The product is so bad, paying over 100, and it's destroyed my naturally curly hair. I've realised that this happens to many who share the same problems on the Sephora community website

Heel duur, weggesmeten geld😭😭

Stay away if black or mixed race!
Hello
Thank you for not reading my initial email properly. I am well aware that Olaplex no 3 is not a conditioner, as a mixed race woman I do all I can to follow instructions and take heed of the “how to apply and use” procedures. Please do not patronize me! You say that this is great for all hair types and I tried to find as much background information as possible for olaplex on mixed and afro hair, not provided on your site may I add, and it was hard to find any reliable sources.
I will be posting this email publicly because as a woman of coulor I find it so tiring and infuriating that brands like yours claim their products work for “all hair types” without really taking into account the huge difference between afro and Caucasian or Asian hair types. To tell me that it is not a conditioner is to insult my intelligence as a well versed natural afro hair woman, I rely on moisture, you think I wouldn’t have researched or read that? I used your product as stated; I did a light shampoo, applied the product, let it sit for 90 mins, then shampooed again and DEEP conditioned for 2 hours. The result, hair that I couldn’t move my fingers through due to it becoming so brittle and fragile. It tangled painfully and snapped mid shaft, never mind the ends. It was in far better condition before I used it and don’t even mention my shampoo or conditioner because I have used them for time and they have never caused that to happen!
Can you please state clearly what you mean when you say hair restorer?? Have you done tests on afro and mixed hair and what were the results? My hair hasn’t been colour treated in over 15 years, flat ironed in over 3, relaxed in over 10 and I get this as a result?? You can shove your £26 where the sun doesn’t shine.
I’m sick of companies like yours claiming that their products do wonders for “everyone” and forgetting that black people are part of the “everyone”.
