Hi Ladies. It has been a little over a year since I discovered that Olaplex was causing serious damage and breakage. I have continued to cut it religiously every 4 weeks, and I use Bondi Boost for hair growth. My hair doesn't grow that fast to begin with so I still have about 5 inches of extremely damaged hair left on my ends. My hair is blonde and fine but was always healthy with some waves. In all my 50 plus years of messing with my hair, and believe me I have done almost everything, including perms, Sun In, highlights, nothing has caused this kind of damage. Some people didn't believe me but I got plenty of validation from the Sephora discussion group and Trustpilot. I tell as many people as I can about my horrible experience. This may sound ridiculous but this experience was almost as bad as my divorce. I actually got to the point of researching wigs. Keep posting about Olaplex and hopefully they will go out of business or get sued.

Don't waste your hard earned on this over priced rubbish. My hair is dry/frizzy. I bought it all with promises of repairing/restoring my hair & am left with it in a worse state than before. 0* from me.

Ik gebruik het nu bijna een jaar en ik heb geen haar meer over. Mijn haar is gort droog geworden en het is hartstikke dun geworden. Ik kan wel janken, telkens dacht ik het ligt niet aan het product omdat het zo'n geweldig product is volgens kappers, maar mijn gevoel zei al steeds het is bende... Nooit meer voor mij Olaplex

I tired olaplex I heard all the great things about it. I started using it in January 2022. I used the product everyday. Side note: I work in the health field during the pandemic and I always shower and wash my hair everyday especially when I was caring for patients with Covid... Well I started to notice that within 2 months I was using Olaplex my hair became very dry and falling out in from the ROOTS!!. i would just simply run my fingers through my hair and chucks will come out!! I have fine curly hair so I was freaking out!! I stopped using the product Olaplex. It is now August 2022 and my hair has finally stopped falling out in chucks it is back to just little strains like normal. I personally DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT if you have fine hair. I never had any shampoo make my hair fall out in such dramatic condition! Also I spoke to other people who had similar issues. I spoke to one friend that told me( after I used the product) that your only supposed to use the product (Olaplex) once a week. because that it was a very high concentrated protein...Well I have read the bottle from back to front and there is NO DESCRIPTION ABOUT THAT!! If this is true they need to have a well written instructions!!

I used olaplex number 3 4 and 5 recommended by my hairdresser who told me to use it as my everyday shampoo. I used it on an off with purology and kerastase products for more than a year! I am convinced olaplex ruined my hair. It left me with straw like textured hair - I have never experienced anything like it in my entire life. My hair snaps and has a lot of damage at the ends. Please bare in mind I do not use any heat on my hair, sleep in bonnet and have silk pillowcases. Every time I use it a lot of hair fall off my head. I used as stated on the website. Do not buy it! I had long hair and every time I cut it (at least 6cm) my hair was breaking over and over again.. I ended up with short bob as I thought it is just my hair being extremely damaged. Turns out the dame was coming from using olaplex.. I just want to cry when I touch my hair as it still feels and looks like a disaster. Many baby hair due to hair loose and guess what- baby hair is damaged too with a lot of white dots. Cutting hair won’t help me much now as the whole length feels terrible… Great marketing olaplex but at what cost? I will make sure to tell all my friends and hairdressers to not use any of your products.

Don’t buy if you have fine hair, I spent £50 buying the Shampoo & conditioner, the most I’ve ever paid and ’m very disappointed it was a waste of money made my hair flat. I’ve had to stop using it.

I’ve been using olaplex for a few months. After some research , I decided to give my hair an Olaplex treat. My hairs always been thick and strong - I’m the girl that has THE longest hair appointments. Recently I noticed my hair breaking. I put this down to hormones but a closer look showed my hair was breaking mid way down on hair that is coloured (professionally and no more than the last 20yrs) . I honestly thought it was just a blip but even my virgin hair is showing signs of stress. I figured it must be something more obvious- so I didn’t apply any heat to my hair and left conditioner on through the day - yup you guessed it olaplex ! My hair breakage accelerated , so after finally putting 2&2 together I googled and it looks like Im not alone. To be fair, there’s lots of people who clearly love this brand and it appears to produce some great results … just not for me. Stopped using now and going for a clarifying shampoo and back to my trusted ( and cheaper) routine ! I just hope this helps my woefully damaged hair !
