Did not supplies needed and poor customer service!

Hi there. I was in Tuscaloosa last week and visited the Office Depot store. I had prints to be made. A very nice lady, new to the Copy & Print department was great! She deserves 5 stars! Her name started with an A. However, the older lady, starting with letter R, had ZERO TACT. Her customer service and apparent teamwork skills was difficult to experience. “A” (because we aren’t allowed to give name) was very cheerful, helpful, and professional. She was alert and listened. She gave me advice and helped with my needs. The ship started sinking when the older lady in print started giving her input. When the other lady asked her questions, she treated her like garbage. She couldn’t have been frowning harder. She ignored the both of us when asking for her help with my order. All I wanted was a collection of prints. Then suddenly the older employee blurted out something very odd and harsh. I can’t remember what this lady said because it startled me. Please have this lady “R” looked after. TACT goes far and despite the sweet one that helped, the older lady unfortunately could learn better customer service and professionalism. When you visit a store and an employee isn’t happy to be there, you know it and feel it! If it hasn’t of been for the sweet and helpful one, I would give this store a 1-star. Get more of the one that said she’s new because obviously the older one is burned out or angry at the world. She was also very rude to the lady she works with. I don’t see how anyone could work with her and from a customer view, I hope Office Depot sees how poor customer service can dominant an experience.

Too bad I did not read Trust Pilot before ordering a laptop from Office Depot. There website customer service only works on Easst Coast time so why do they have stords in the Southwest US? Calling this morning after getting an email that delivery was going to be on a day when I was only going to be home a few hours. Finally got out of the automated loop after repeating 8 times that I neede to talk to a Customer Service Rep. When I had a question as tobehether or not the delivery would would require a signature, Donna told me they did not have access to that information. When I asked to be transfered to a superbisor who had access to that info - lo and behold suddenly Donna was able to find out that the item would be delivered today by 10:59 am - we’ll see if thatvis ER or MT? Wonder how the information popped up so fast and why I did not receive a email notification? Have never heard of the delivery carrier T- Force. Am going to look up their number just in case. Thought it was strange they sent me a customer survey so fast. I did not give them them much feedback letting OD know that until I actual received the item and could set it up and see if it is what I ordered I could not answer any other questions. Reading the reviews below has me crossing my fingers

No wonder Office Depot is having trouble……the store in brooksville fl is filthy the floor hasn’t been cleaned or waxed for a long time. The store looks like it is going out of business….low product and lack of staff.

Horrible online presence. Searched for a 1TB internal hard drive, got an Office Depot hit at a good price. However after placing the order, confirmation email revealed a different product (512GB version). Online cancellation was "not available" so called Customer Service...also unable to cancel order, but "escalated" cancellation with exception to "hear from them" within 24 hours. Of course, heard nothing. Order status shows "processing" and scheduled arrival date is ten (10) days out, so totally incredulous that the order could not be easily cancelled. Will now have to "refuse" item upon arrival and dispute charge with credit card company. Totally unbelievable!

I purchase something every week at Office Depot. I've seen the "charity donation" button maybe for years. BUT!!! Today it said something like "donate to a minority owned small business: $1 $5 $25 $100". What?? Who are the "minority owned small businesses"? My wife owns & runs a small business, as a woman . . does she qualify as a MINORITY OWNED SMALL BUSINESS??? Or after working hard 70 hours a week every week year after year . . is she suppose to donate some of her spare time and earnings to who? Office Depot use to be a nice place to buy office products I needed. NOW it's just another WOKE national chain that's been allowed to continuing doing business by our Dear Leaders. Small businesses are struggling and many are gone forever . . . Minority or Not.

Office Depot is has a long way to go before they have even a moderately acceptable customer service program. The products are generally overpriced but the quality isn't bad...especially in a pinch. Their customer service in-store seems to try to be as professional and accommodating as possible considering the customer service at a corporate level is a joke. Not small business friendly in the least. In fact, in my experience not friendly at all. If other options are available to you I would definitely recommend exploring them first.

The ppl that work there know nothing and don’t even want to be there. I prefer staples.
