I'm still experiencing the worst retail experience of all my years as a consumer.
I ordered a computer mouse online (even though it was twice the price of amazon) so that I could return to my local store in case it didn't work out.
when I took the item for return to the store I was told it was special order and not stocked in the store and therefore I would have to call the 800 number to initiate a return. I have since exchanged 4 emails and 6 phone calls to "arrange for a pick up of the item".. from an office depot driver (because, you know, that seems so much more efficient than me dropping it off at the store).
I can't even describe my level of frustration and am utterly baffled how this is any retail company's standard practice.
shop Office Depot?: never again
describe this event?: to anyone who will listen

I went into Office Depot on 1792 in…
I went into Office Depot on 1792 in Orlando to print an email. As I alway have, I sent the email to the Office Depot that I was in and I got in line and waited with many others for about 10 minutes or so. I started to talk to the lady behind me about the long wait. She asked if I had signed in at the computer... apparently you need to sign in and get in a cyber line, which I didn't know. I went to the computer and had to enter all kinds of information and then got back in line (at the end of the line). I got a email from Office Depot saying that I should go to one of the "self service" printers and putt up my email on the printer. I thought I needed to pull up the email that I had sent to the location when I got in line but after several minutes I figured out that I needed to resend the email to a different address. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to send the email, pull it up on the printer and print it.
Office Depot is trying to save themselves to prosperity by reducing customer service by cutting labor. Instead, they have slightly reduced labor which will result in big reductions in revenue. I use to buy office supplies at Office Depot but, after this experience I see no value in shopping brick and mortar. After all, if there is no customer service what's the value. I went home, got on Amazon and ordered a printer/scanner. I will never go back to Office Depot for anything.

Poor and unprofessional manager customer service.
I am a member of the Boca Chamber of Commerce.
Just now, I had a really emotional disturbing experience between two of your stores in Boca Raton today that I want to tell management about.
Yesterday I went to your Glades Road near the turnpike store and had two sheets of architectural drawings copied. Experience was excellent.
Today at 10 AM i went back to the glades store to make two more. I waited in line for a half an hour and the technician behind the counter with a brace on her hand told me she did not know how to fix or run or rest the copier and asked me to go to the store in East Boca Raton on Federal Highway. I told her I wanted her to check with the store to see if their machine was working and if they could do it. SHe called and told me to go there.
I arrived at the store about 11 30, registered and waited in line for 30 minutes. When it was my turn the heavy set, caucasian, female "manager" with the painted on eyebrows told me that they could not make the copies. I asked if their machine was broken and she said no, they were understaffed and had orders ahead of mine and to go away.
I asked for the manager, she said she was it and then i asked for her supervisor and she phoned a woman with whom i spoke. I explained my dilemma and the run around and the fact i was leaving at 5 pm of a business trip and had to have the drawings with me.
A customer ahead of me said, "Please help this gentleman, he has a deadline and I do not". i handed the phone back to the on site manager, she took the two sheets and went to the duplicator and made me one colored copy of each.
She handed me the originals and the copies and said, "Get Our"!
I said what do I owe. She said nothing and again said "Get Out".
I went to the register with drawings in hand and a computer bag in was buying for about 100.00 which she could not see. She ran over to the register and said again, "Get out". I said is the computer bag free too? She said no and walked away.
I spent 3 hours between two stores and was told to get out of the store.
You speak to her and find out if what I am saying is true.
I got really upset the first time when she told me that she did not care i was sent to her store, that I had a business deadline, that i waited my turn and was not leaving without them being done. I am sure I got "LOUD".
I apologize for getting loud. You need to look into this.

PS I left 20.00 with the afro-american trainee with the long fingernails and asked her to put it into the holiday tipping pool or whatever you do.
PPS As a member of the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and a business owner I feel that unless i hear from anyone I am going to repeat this story a few too many times.

Rude and incompetent customer service
Have been trying to get someone to help me, but everyone I talked to was rude and not in any way helpful. I asked for a supervisor on 3 separate calls. First call, on hold 10 minute before I decided to hang up and try again. Second call, on hold more than 15 minutes before trying again. On the third call now. So far going on 10 minutes on hold. Don't know if supervisors are so lacking that it is actually taking more time that it should, or if the initial agents, don't actually try to connect to supervisor - just put people on hold until they hang up. Maybe there are no actual supervisors, and this is what they are trained to do.
I have a confirmed order with Office Depot, and not one person has been able to tell me that I'll ever actually receive the item. Save yourself a ton of frustration, and avoid doing business with them.
and, if anyone at office depot actually sees this - your customer service department needs drastic changes, or to be completely shut down. As is, they are causing more frustration than they are resolving. Try hiring at least one person who actually cares about your customer.

Bought a printer on line
Bought a printer on line, store didn't stock it because it was black in co lor. Received printer, wasn't what I expected or needed. Called the local store (40 minutes away), was told bring ti back to the store, they could do the return there. I did; no return. I was told it had to be done on line. Followed the online process. Didn't receive any confirmation or labels to return printer. Did the online chat, the representative sadi he took care of everything. Checked my email, nothing from Office Depot. After several more attempts, I finally received a confirmation of return. This message said go to links includes to print labels. There were no links!! Called Customer Service, very poor connection with tech on phone. After about 5 minutes, she said she would send ticket number to me. Verified there would be return labels. NOOOO, that will take authorization from vendor to return the Epson printer. Imagine, Office Depot had to special order ONE printer, delivered it in about 3 days nut has to have the vendor authorize a return.
Seems like Office Depot must run on a shoe string budget, they can't afford to authorize return on a $150.00 printer without vendor authorization.

Stay away from the Office Depot store in Gastonia, NC
I had business cards printed at the Office Depot store in Gastonia, NC, in early 2019. I waited about 25 minutes for them to process the order. When I needed another supply of business cards, I stopped in the store to reorder. The service rep told me they no longer had my logo. What? He wrote up an order ticket and gave me the email address at the store so I could email my logo to them. I asked if they could have them printed the same day they received my logo and the reply was, "that shouldn't be a problem." I emailed my logo to the store early in the morning and call late in the afternoon to check on the status of my order. The rep who answered my call said, "email orders have the lowest priority." I told him I was not informed of that when I placed the order IN PERSON. Then he said he couldn't tell me when my order would be ready. I told him to forget it, I'll go to another provided who will appreciate my business. Obvious that Office Depot does not. Not only have they lost me as a customer for business cards, but for copy paper, printer cartridges, office supplies, and the list goes on and on. Good riddance. What a load of crap and what a bunch of jerks.

This is a crock of horsepoop
This is a crock of horsepoop. If you want to give me a reward for using your store, then great. But if I have to wait 30 or 90 days to use the rewards, then it is a joke.
