Logged into my account to view my reward certificates and found out I only had $1.00 - 2.00 on them when I should have had at least $70.00 +. I called customer service and apparently someone in another state had used them!? I also realized after I logged in that I had never been issued credit for 4 ink cartridges I turned in a couple months prior that should have been on the acct already. Talked to customer service and they said they would put them on the acct but it would take 5-7 business days and would issue $8 (4 x $2). When I turned them in they were having a promotion and I was suppose to get $4 per cartridge but apparently customer service would not honor the difference of the additional $8 they were offering for the promotion. They couldn't tell me why I didn't get credit in the 1st place either. Also FYI.......If you buy reward cashback items with reward certificate money you will not receive any rewards on the products you are purchasing. When I ordered online they did not have that on any kind of disclaimer. When I mentioned that to the customer service representative they just brushed it off and ignored my concern.

Beware of their supposed tech service. I took a laptop in and they 'scanned it' and found malware and issues. Best solution, they said, was to buy their amazing tech support. Office Depot company, all done in the US so no language issues, blah blah. I bit. I tried to use it twice, The first time someone from India sent me to someone else from India, who took over my computer for 8 hours, then hung up with no action or update or report. Really? I called back the next day and another Indian sent me to another Indian who tied me up for nearly 12 hours. He fixed one of two issues and hung up without warning, which seems a standard of practice. No report, no nothing. I tried to cancel the service but since it was more than 30 days after purchase, they refused to refund. So, they took me for $130 for NOTHING except keeping me from working for two days. Complete BS.

I bought a new calendar for the new year and only when I got home did I discover it was for the old year 2019, not 2020! I called Office Depot and they promised someone would call back within 24 hour and take care of the matter. I got no call back. I phoned the store to make sure thy had the right calendar in stock and was reassured that they did. When I got there within an hour they could not find it in stock. Such a little purchase became through their incompetence a big waste of time.

I tried printing an invitation at the 29th and Rock store in Wichita KS. the employee said she could not print the invitation since it said the word Barbie on it so I needed to do the self service printer. I’ve never had this issue before. When I printed 9 sheets of the invitation after prepaying, it came out red instead of pink. The employee confirmed it was pink on their computer and was an issue with the printer. She still wouldn’t print it for me to get the right color. Instead I’m stuck with 18 invitations in the wrong color. The employee didn’t refund my order even though she admitted their printer causes the issue.

Office Depot is the absolute worst company with the absolute WORST customer service. They gave me a reward certificate for returning ink cartridges and when I tried to use it on-line it wouldn't work, so I opened a chat on-line and they couldn't help me and so my certificate expired because I was using it on the last day it was valid and it expires on Eastern Time and I'm on Pacific Time. They did reissue the reward. So today, I tried to place my on-line order again after the reward was reissued and the SAME EXACT thing happened again! When I tried to place my on-line order, the certificate wouldn't work. I spent 30 minutes with the on-line chat and they couldn't help me and told me to call. I called and spent an hour on the phone with one customer service person and she was nice, but she didn't listen to a thing I said and I said it over again. I asked for a manager. They sent me to a different Dept. and I told my story all over again. I got this rude nasty customer service person and when I got upset she kept saying "there's no reason to yell" and she said that over and over and over again which only inflamed me more instead of defusing the situation. ALL I NEEDED was validation, all she had to say was I'm sorry you are having trouble, but I will fix this for you and instead I was engaged in a fight with her. She was short and instead of answering my questions, she kept saying what she wanted to say and I finally said "will you please stop talking and answer my questions" and then she would put me on mute and I would ask her something and no response and I would keep saying "hello, hello, hello" and she wouldn't respond and then finally she would answer, she did this at least 4 times and I told her to stop putting me on mute because I'm thinking the call was lost and about to hang up. I will NEVER SHOP AT Office Depot EVER AGAIN!!!! I will be going to Staples. At the end, she applied the reward and I placed the order after 1 1/2 hours. OUTRAGEOUS!! I'm done with this company!

1) Awful customer service making you to wait around 30 minutes on the phone. 2) I don't know if they keep their promises but sure they don't keep their words. They lied to me 3 times. 3) Awful phone communication with customer service. Just try to call to their refund department you'll get what I mean. 4) Over all they made me very annoyed (I'm not allowed to use right words for this term here) with their unprofessional approach. 5) It's really hard to get your refund. Prepare yourself to fight for your own money!

Tried to log into my Officedepot.com account unsuccessfully, using their help options to no avail. Then I called their customer service number, which provided NO help; beseiging me with propoganda commercials while repeadedly being put on hold. Eventually hung up, setting up a new account, placing an order for 4 items they said were in stock. Received an email telling me I could pickup 1 of the 4 items (which would therefore require multiple trips), so I again contacted customer service. Agent said the best she could do is cancel my order (bear in mind this was for Bounty paper towel, which is carried in every store in the country), so i told her (after multiple exchanges) to cancel my order, cancel my subscription, and cancel my account. Officedepot won't see me again in this lifetime (terrible service)... January 6, 2020 UPDATE: These special people have still not Refunded my MONEY!!!

As a former employee with Office Depot, I can honestly say that this company as a whole is 100% disgraceful and corrupted beyond belief. They charge ridiculous amounts of money and will flat-out LIE to the customers. This crooked company also takes advantage of the elderly customers and will diagnose non-existent PC problems. Don't believe me? Do a simple Google search and see the truth for yourself. Office Depot even settled to pay $35 million dollars to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) recently for lying and tricking customers with non-existent PC problems just to make profit for themselves. Furthermore, the Tech Support "technicians" who remotely connect and assist with computer issues are all located in Romania, and NOT in the United States. You cannot speak to these technicians over the telephone, because they don't want to expose themselves for being located overseas. The technical support department is incredibly understaffed and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of phone calls on a daily basis. You have these amateur Romanian technicians who will be working on 10 different computers at a time, and fail horribly at resolving issues in a timely manner. They will fail to communicate with the customers on the receiving end, and do not provide any updates on what's going on. Whenever these Romanian technicians hit a brick wall and can't resolve technical problems, they will either do nothing or simply lie to the customers and disconnect their remote session. I've personally seen it happen hundreds of times, and it's disgraceful to say the very least. The fact that these Romanian amateurs actually consider themselves to be qualified "computer technicians" is truly repulsive and pitiful. I strongly suggest that no one ever steps foot into an Office Depot store for as long as they live. This company will do everything they can to take advantage of customers and abuse them in every way possible. If I could create a petition to burn down every single Office Depot store in the country, I'd do it in a heartbeat. In conclusion, this company is an absolute joke.
